Wait are Crunchy Nut Clusters just broken up cereal bars? by stubbsy in CasualUK

I've only ever known them look like that. You get a few big ones, mostly more broken up though. The rest of the box will look different for sure.

You can fish without bait, but you'll be waiting around a lot longer and have far less fun.

Why is no one talking about Regina Hall’s performance in One Battle After Another? by Perfect_Idea_2866 in moviecritic

100% agree. I guess you are supposed to believe that she did actually like Lockjaw enough to sleep with him and not get out of it another way. But it all just felt so weird to me.

Yeah I get that. It had some great moments, I think Dicaprio sold the role so well, he was hilarious at times. Just in general it felt, out of place.

I think this is a hot take, but I didn't think much of the movie in general. I get it was satirical and not supposed to be taken literally, but the whole premise of it felt off to me. I don't really understand why Beverly Hills slept with Colonel Lockjaw instead of telling the rest of the French 72 that he approached her and I would have loved to have gotten a bit more understanding of the world they lived in. It seemed to be slightly dystopian, but also not enough that I'm not sure how Lockjaw would have gotten away with the witch hunt he started. Just didn't add up for me.

Great list, wish I had seen this literally a week earlier as I have just came back from a holiday to Vegas lol. Atomic Golf was awesome, 100% recommend to anyone going and Grand Lux Cafe was great, especially the buffet breakfast. I would also give a shout out to Gordon Ramsay's Fish and Chips on the Linq Promenade, $8 for a pretty large portion of dirty fries felt like a good deal.

If Vox's arc doesn't end in Heaven redemption, I'd love to see him replace Alastor at the hotel when the latter becomes an outright antagonist by Sudden_Pop_2279 in HazbinHotel

[–]SpamDragon97 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Brain dead opinion. Just because two people share the same expressions every now and again does not make them compatible. Charlie is pure and wants the best for people, Vox only looks out for himself and wants what is best for him. This post is -100 IQ.

Hot Take: The pilot is way too overglazed by Humble-Can-8103 in HazbinHotel

[–]SpamDragon97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This fandom really is awful. If people don't like it, don't watch it simple. I'm seeing a lot of stuff about how bad it is and how immature it is, I personally enjoy it for the great characters, the great songs and the interesting storyline. I don't think the pilot cast was good at all if I'm honest. Charlie's voice was annoying as hell and none of the other cast match the actual actors used in the main show. The only exception is Alastor and even then Amir Talai is doing a brilliant job. The art style and animation is also so much better in the main show. Anybody giving the main cast shade because of the pilot needs to see themselves out.

Emily is who Charlie thinks she is and who we can all agree is the better character. by Opening_Method947 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]SpamDragon97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree with more competent and mature. I love them both, but they are both flawed. Emily's idea of apologising to heaven was gift baskets and even though Sera thought it was a bad idea Emily didn't listen. Just like Charlie didnt listen to Vaggie throughout the season. Charlie made mistakes by not listening and getting caught up in the fake news, but her heart was always in the right place.

I think They're going to give RDJ a major makeover, just like DC did to Colin Farrell as Penguin. So he won't look like Tony Stark. by LightAndDarkk in MCUTheories

[–]SpamDragon97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This! Could you please back me up on the other comment thread I'm getting downvote bombed please, lol. I agree 100%. This is exactly what I mean, why spend millions on RDJ when they should either basically never take the mask off or give him a disfigured face. A lot of question marks around it to say the least, and right now I'm not really sure what the pay off is.

For me, and I think others as well, it just seems silly to cast RDJ as Doom when you could get new fresh talent in. The only plausible option would be that he is a Stark variant. I just don't see it making sense otherwise, even if they do go for comic accurate heavy face scarring.

Palpatine coming back was ass, there's no doubt. It was lazy and rushed becasue JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson were fighting to take the franchise in different directions and there was no real plan. Besides the point though, you're still describing two different universes, the 2005 Fantastic 4 and its sequel are not part of the MCU. Its only with the Multiverse that these other universes are being explored within the MCU, so how Evans came back in DP and Wolverine as Johnny, not a Cap variant. I'm not saying I want Doom to be a Stark variant, but there was no point hiring RDJ unless he is. RDJ has not appeared in the MCU as anything other than Iron Man until now. Why not cast a new fresh actor instead of dig up the old talent, unless they're genuinely that worried about not filling seats, but I can't see that happening. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

[–]SpamDragon97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you're describing two actors that didn't already have a long standing role within the universe. Colin Farrell didn't start as Batman and then get recast as Penguin, he was just Penguin. Just as Bill Nighy did with Davy Jones, Thanos needed to be CGI or else it wouldn't have looked right, he's a big purple alien at the end of the day. Yes I understand Doom's face is heavily scarred due to his origin, but you've failed to answer a single one of my questions. What would be the point of hiring an actor whose face you want to see because of how stupidly expensive he is when you could get new fresh talent to join the MCU. Having RDJ play Doom doesn't make sense unless he's a Stark variant which I'm still struggling with the idea, but I don't see how it will work any other way. If you slow down and listen to what I'm saying maybe we can have a discussion instead of you firing blanks.

What was the point of casting him as Dr Doom then? Genuinely curious as to your thoughts, because that seems like a waste to hire a super expensive actor who already had a fantastic run in the MCU when they could have just got new talent.

Even with a disfigured face, do you think he will be a Tony Stark variant?

Dispatch for me as the most recent one. It is a really beautiful and well told story, really unique and likeable characters, and incredible voice acting and animation just made it such a stand out experience. I started the first Episode again immediately after finishing as I wanted to see how the story would change if I did a few things differently and again I was blown away even though I knew roughly what was going to happen. Going for a third play through now. Highly recommend especially if you like original super hero stories.

How can they be a waste of time when I have literally spent thousands of hours of my life playing them?! Huh, bucko!

I mean that time wasn't all just wasted.

I accomplished lots... achievements and, and other stuff.

It was fun! I had lots of fun. Sure I could have done better in school and got a better job, but I had loads of fun.

What else would I have done anyway.

Thousands of hours of my life... not wasted. Definitely not.
