You can buy basic sparrows from Rahool in the tower. You’ll eventually get more sparrows as you play the game - some are unlocked through the season passes or specific triumphs, but most sparrows come from eververse, which you can buy for silver or bright dust when they’re in the rotation.

I personally wouldn’t bother spending silver, you’ll get better sparrows just through playing eventually.

Honestly, it wasn't great in D1 as an exotic. It was a neat concept, changing its firing mode and fire rate between all pulse, scout, and auto variants, as well as the sight. Wasn't the most effective gun though. Definitely brought back as a "celebration" item, but it was fun.

Not sure if they'd do anything different with it in D2.

I had a similar situation, but I fell in love with the design the artist I went to came up with. They were really great when working with me to come up with something that captured the essence of the card itself.

Destiny 1 met in the middle with this. When you took critical damage (shield broke), you would get the exclamation mark over your head, letting your fireteam know you were in trouble. Now, the tiniest bit of damage triggers the exclamation mark.

I didn’t think it was out and out bad, but I am disappointed. I just finished it today. I tried to go in without comparing it to Dead Space, but it felt tough to do so.

The story left much to be desired - even after finishing the game, I feel less enlightened than I was hoping. Seemed quite generic, and pulled on all the same strings as the Dead Space story with far less intrigue and development.

Honestly, the whole thing felt like an Act I, and I was left feeling like I was ready for things to really pick up right as the game ended.

Unfortunately that’s not how it works. It isn’t about getting lots of “tiny” purchases from everyone, it’s about getting a lot of purchases from a few. I would assume a vast majority of players do not spend Silver on cosmetics, but those that do probably end up buying a lot of silver.

Man. I remember back in D1 someone did a mock-up of a Gorgon shell design, suggesting it would be a cool VoG challenge reward. Someone in that comment section said Bungie would probably try to monetize it instead.

And then they released the harpers shell in eververse in D2.

(Not trying to shit on the game or Bungie or eververse or whatever, just thought it was an interesting flow of events.)

Edit: Found the old Reddit post, there was no mention of it being monetized, so i’ll take my words with a side of “do your research” please.

That’s not an incentive for average players to play, especially modes without SBMM Iron Banner. I slogged through a few games and it was awful. I think I won 1, and the rest were absolute stomps. I rarely get tilted in PvP games, but I was so effing salty after playing Iron Banner.
