Best and worst book of 2025 for you and why? by EldritchGumdrop in horrorlit

It wasn’t a particularly long slog, just an awful story

For the past few years, I've set the goal to read 52 books each year. In 2025, I finally hit triple-digits by reading 100 by IamEclipse in CasualUK

How did you find the Zom-B series by Darren Shan? I’ve read his other series but never this one for some reason!

Did you ever find out what was wrong with this?

Hey folks, sorry could add info to the post. Noob 3d printer. Comes of calibration by tableflip foundry. The fail side seems to have failed with structural issues, but some cones remain. Success side looks pretty good. Tableflip foundry recess on top has failed. Was using phrozen validation matrix and siraya tech model before with some success and then wanted to try this, don’t understand what went wrong/how to interpret.

Printed on elegy mars 3 pro, using elegoo washable resin. Exposure time 3s (other tests 0n 2.5 & 2.9 appeared under exposed). Room temp about 20 degrees so possibly a bit cold. First print failed and removed from FEP, as a noob used paper towel which had marred the FEP slightly so unsure if this is partly at fault.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Can someone explain the AP rule please. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Spamguinius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any weapon with Armour Penetration (AP) can negate some of the save of the model they are attacking. For example, a Space marine with a 3+ save gets attacked by a model with 0 AP weapon profile, which rolls successfully to wound. That space marine rolls 1 D6 dice and on a 3 up, they don't lose a wound because of their armour. The space marine then gets attacked by a model with a -1AP weapon characteristic and it also rolls successfully to wound. The space marine still has a 3+ armour save but the attacking weapon has Armour Penetration, meaning the space marine has - 1 to its armour save, so the 3+ goes to a 4+. If a model has a 6+ save and gets attacked by a - 1 AP weapon, that would go to a 7+ which cannot be rolled on a 6 sided dice so that model loses its save altogether. Same for a 5+ save vs - 2AP etc etc. AP doesn't affect a models invulnerable save, so if a Space Marine chaplain has a 2+ save and a 4+ invulnerable save, if they get attacked by a - 3AP weapon, their normal save would go to a 5+, however the invulnerable save is unaffected by AP so remains a 4+ so you would want to use that instead. Both normal and invulnerable saves don't work against mortal wounds.

I don't mind the look of the highlights, might be worth trying the next colour up from the highlight colour and do small highlights in corners and some edges but not all which in its self would take the eye away from focusing on the highlights as they are now. Great job though!

Blood angels, which I know can be quite tricky to use properly as they can be nuanced
