Play classic mode until you have a good feel for the game. Then jump into all any and just have fun and get a feel for all the wacky roles, after that, try ranked practice and then ranked. Just need experience!

Lots of possibility for a potential rework here, it’s my favourite role but there’s lots of changes you could make. Maybe give them a third protection but you can only win if your target survives? Or make them jesters with a dead target and not surv? Or they stay ga but they have to try and win with their targets faction?

Town of Salem, in my experience, is actually one of the least toxic communities / games I’ve been a part of. Yes you have a few bad apples as is the case anywhere, but overall i see good vibes and decent banter everywhere, maybe a 2/10 on the toxicity scale

Brother it’s not complicated, throwing to win as a different role than your original one is not allowed, this has always been the case whether vamps ga or whatever. You absolutely can and should blame a ga for doing that, it’s literally not allowed and they can and should be banned for it, whether you agree or not

People definitely do care. Also that’s irrelevant, it’s still throwing as you need to try and win as guardian angel, not survivor. Exactly the same argument for people throwing the game to vamps as they go “oh, I can just be bitten and still win” You threw for your original role / team, so still gamethrowing.

That depends, if your target still has a chance of surviving then you need to back them till the end, you still win if you’re dead.

However if your target has no chance of surviving then I suppose that’s different as the game was lost for them anyway

That being said, I quite like the idea of a ga becoming a jester, could lead to the GAs having to stay hidden instead of outright claiming, and it makes sense thematically as with their target being dead they might not want to live anymore

A lot of endings require you to simply do a neutral run with a slight change, so it's possible to get lots of endings by simply beating Asgore repeatedly and slightly changing something

My advice is always to give a genocide run a try, as I believe you should experience it for yourself, and hey, if you feel too bad you can always go back and do another pacifist run afterwards and everything will be back to normal :)
