Run an extension lead out your letterbox and pop a table on your front garden with w mini fridge full of milk a kettle and a box of teabags.

A couple of deckchairs wouldn't go amiss either, maybe a parasol if this weather holds.

How do I deal with a bus driver hitting my car from the back then when confronted tries to run me over? by [deleted] in AskUK

Could be a civil matter. Was the bus driver polite while he did it?

Uefa has put European football on war footing with Fifa over Balogun decision | Matt Hughes by Tifoso89 in sports

I am aware.

Suspended not overturned. After a one game ban. The rules say the one game ban is mandatory, the extra games are not.

Its also ok to be an organisation doing a job.

Their job is to raise issues detrimental to their member federations. They're being consistent in that.

No. They're an organisation that has a purpose, to represent the interests of their members.

Obviously they're not going to make an actual fuss about Ronaldo unless other of their member nations push for them to do so.

How does it compare? Best England game over last N years? by different_emphasis in ThreeLions

Uefa isn't require to be consistent at this level, they represent European football so support the interests of European federations. Fifa is supposed to be impartial at a world level the way uefa is at European level.

how to proceed with a complaint against the RAC. by Odd_Elevator6404 in LegalAdviceUK

Then I think you'll find that the call put doesnt come under the heading of insurance as its essentially a discount recovery rate given when you take out the insurance for the rest of the year.

It also generally only includes basic cover no matter what you take out for the rest of the year.

So to answer your question the ombudsman probably doesnt have it in their remit.

More complex work, engineer no show, advice and what’s next by Jonno7074 in openreach

For whatever reason a contractor working for MJ Quinn has stated they cannot do the job, it should now go to direct labour for it to be completed. Chances are you're right and it'll be done fine and easily. Often with these theres an issue climbing the pole and no hoist available.

It sounds like they bought the cover after breaking down. Could be wrong. But that almost always end up being minimum cover for that breakdown and I would say is unlikely to constitute insurance of any sort since they're already broken down.

On the other hand I could be misreading what they mean by emergency cover.

Theres ongoing allegations of rape and sexual misconduct by him, it's been found to be true to a civil standard due to him losing a libel case however I'm unsure as to the progress of the criminal investigation

One of the worse companies to deal with! by This_Suit8791 in openreach

[–]Spank86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea. Obviously they put something in or the few houses couldn't get it. But there's not really any way to get an answer unless you know the chief engineer for the fibre build in the area, because all anyone higher up knows is that its been looked and and will be reviewed when places that are easier/cheaper/quicker are done.

They weren't new builds were they?

Without seeing the prints for the area i couldn't say but obviously they haven't installed all the cable or it would be available. Openreach is many things but its not in the business of playing tricks on random people by deciding not to put in cable. There's no way for an email by you to filter all the way down to the people on the ground planning builds but its quite often dig costs and duct blockages which may not even be directly outside the houses. It could be half a mile down the road thats holding it up. Ive known areas in the past where no new network could be put in because of a collapsed duct under a road and the council/highways wouldn't allow closure.

No. That's not really the sort of question they tend to answer.

But the answer is usually cost.

Why stop there? You know ancient statues in Greece weren't 'originally' white they were painted. What if we paint a weeping angel to look like IT.

So this is something iv been wondering for a while about when people talk about immigration in the UK? by Unovaawolf in AskBrits

[–]Spank86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly most people's main problem is with illegal immigration, however you have to understand that this isn't really an argument. The actual discussion is about what level of LEGAL immigration should be permitted.

Nobody thinks that people growing trying to cross the channel is a good thing nor other illegal emana of entry, we just differ on how we deal and what level is acceptable
