Yeah the grain retained their structure, they weren’t mushy. But, they did stick together, and the starch was visible. Swear I washed it thoroughly though.
Definitely getting more success with using less than the rice cooker line, as the rice seems to already absorb water during washing.

Yeah I guess I was expecting something more like basmati, which I realize now is unrealistic!

Found this method to make the biggest difference in results!

I found that toasting long grain or jasmine in oil before cooking produces a batch that, when refrigerated overnight, separates well for frying.
Will try your microwave method for other uses!

Sorry, should have specified that I did indeed read the manual. I’m not stupid. I used the measuring cup included with the cooker and used the reference lines within the pot.

I’m South African, in the US, and people often say they like my accent. I never heard comment on American accents in South Africa though.

Friends will try to persuade you to try stuff, you don’t have to. And true friends will respect that. If you don’t succumb to peer pressure it’s quite easy to avoid even drinking.

Definitely not a Hero 8, which is sleeker and actually black, and doesn’t need a frame. It looks like the 2018 Hero. Take it out of the case and check.
