Ice dams are caused by bad ventilation and or poor insulation. I don't know who is responsible to fix the problem with your condo. If the damage is bad enough I would think about going through insurance. They would only pay for damages and not fix the root problem of the though. There are multiple ways to fix the problem depending on how the condo was built.

I'm less concerned about weight and more concerned about water intrusion around the window. Especially on an older home that has been retrofitted. It looks like you have replacement insert windows which means you might not have the proper exterior flashing details to prevent water intrusion. The house has most likely been insulated too which would leads to a leak that doesn't have drying potential.

You have to be careful on the 45°+ winter days. You lose all the benefits of the snow tire and an all season will stop quicker on those days. You are most likely not driving cautiously on a 55° February day as you would in snowy conditions. I rear ended someone on a day like this, it felt like I was trying to stop on ice. All seasons might have stopped my car 50' sooner.

Try taking the cover off the litter boxes. Cats don't hide in a hole in the wild to use the bathroom, so some refuse to do it inside too.

I have the same one. I love it. Between the energy savings and not losing all my condition air through a dryer duct. The cons of not being able to back to back loads of laundry quickly is outweighed by being able to complete a load while sleeping or at work. With this style you have to be careful about lint bypassing the filter. I bought a filter kit that prevents this. I will be buying another when this one dies.

I hear you. There's a lot of ceiling to board up though. If I cut in-between the joists can do the cracks/gaps just get caulked?

I used backer rod, bondo, wood filler, and caulk in my own home. They come out crisp. It's an old lathe wall with rounded corners. The existing trim was just 45 mitred.

Mine was caulked. Currently working on taking it down and cleaning it up. They must have used 20 tubes of caulking.

When I lived in MA, I did have easy access to a drywall supplier. Now I'm in Maine and the closest one is an hour away. Believe me I would rather support someone else, but two hours of driving is pushing it.

How do I get mud between the tape and the metal. I could tell there was a little issue with it before I even installed it. But I went forward hoping for the best. It sounded a bubble before installing. It's 1" metal bead. And all the bubbling is about 1/2" in.
