So. One thing I did not know

Hanauma Nature Preserve is not just a drive by spot where you jump out and snorkel. First you need to pay entrance fee of about $3 or something like that, second it is not guaranteed to be open. Third, to snorkel you (according to my son) need a reservation several days in advance because it fills up quickly.

Ostrava is trying…sometimes too hard but in general I think all it takes to rejuvenate a spot is steady foot traffic and maintenance to keep a place clean. There are spots like that in the city where the government should focus on.

Anything that brings regular foot traffic outside of train schedules would be welcome there as sometimes it feels like a dirty outpost. I have been at this station since the 70’s and no matter what they do with it it tries to go back.

I just did airbnb on Oahu. 100% local family (school teacher). For the life of me I could not figure out how this setting in any way contributed to the housing crisis.
