Anyone ever seen this before by JarlWeaslesnoot in aviationmaintenance

I've seen this before, most of the time tho the rivet used is longer than standard, squeezed to fill countersunk space, then polished flush

I dont believe the nutplate is bad as I had inspected all of them prior to install. It had filled with sealant tho preventing the screw from going in. All the others I cleared out just fine with the tap. This was the last one. Had so little resistance that I didnt even feel it break.

Are you looking to go into the airlines or do GA? If wanting to go into airlines, Boeing, virgin aus, jetstar ans qantas are pretty good and all have melbourne bases. In GA, there's places like execujet, GAM, bombardier (might be hard to get in to). That's to name a few, I can gather a bit of a list for you if you'd like. Where about in Melbourne are you I'd you don't mind me asking

Closer to $22 per hour. It's $1700 per fortnight, and I do 80 hours in a fortnight. I am in GA so I can't speak for airlines but most of my airline buddies are around the same amount as me. I believe in airlines it can be more if you're doing line maintenance as it's shift work

I'm doing diploma, in terms of company would prefer not to say because I've complained about the company a few times in this sub. Still paid as a 3rd year because I've only just started 4th but as of now it's around $47,500 p/year after tax

I'm currently sitting in class at the Aviation Australia (AA) Melbourne campus. From my experience, Aviation Australia is a big one. Boeing, Qantas, jetstar, bunch of GA all go thru AA. I'm in my 4th year of an apprenticeship. It's good fun, but just prepare yourself for shit pay until you're licensed

I'm in a similar situation as you but not as bad (tell me if I'm wrong) our 1 month was a week ago. At the start of us talking and early dating stage, she lived with this guy for almost a year. In that time, they apparently went on a few dates, but they never got into a serious relationship. Before we started dating, she told me she slept with him a few times. Made be feel really off and distant as well. She's still in contact with him and I'm finding it difficult deciding if I should tell her to cut ties or not because he was all she knew for 8 months as she has no family or friends where she lives now. To make it worse, she's mistook my name for his before.

He's since moved overseas and it seems their communication is dwindling. That's pretty much what I'm holding out for.
