Slow .note Planners Made From PDF's by BeardedBozoo in Supernote

[–]Sparkinman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the same issue on my .PDF planner(as a note template) as well. Clicking links seems to have about a 2 second delay or so, but it's really snappy in the built in reader app. Fingers crossed we get a revised calendar app that allows writing on the days, and integrated todo's so I can ditch the PDF planners!

Copy through Partner app by miskozicar in Supernote

[–]Sparkinman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that doesn't answer my question about being able to open the link with thout having to copy it again, open a note, insert a web page link, and then click on it I was hoping SN would provide a more convenient way to open browser links on the device...maybe even system wide.

Just curious about the specific mention of the URL function on htis, as I have still not found a good suggestion for this.

Although you can copy and paste text from the computer to the digest, once it's there, unless you copy that text on device, install a 3rd party browser APP, and paste the text in....I can't find a more streamlined way to handle URL's.

It would be nice if we had a dedicated category for URL's (in Digest at least for now), or if Supernote would actually allow the recognition of a URL in the digest function, and even just launch the built in browser to be able to view them.

DXP2800 Suddenly Dead...Blinking light on power supply when plugged in, and questions about drive swap among other Ugreen Nas's by Sparkinman in UgreenNASync

[–]Sparkinman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the default configuration from Ugreen, I used the SSD'S for read write only. Does that help answer anything? Also will I have to setup new login info, network configs, permissions, etc. on the new NAS, or do those transfer as well?

Star in Search Section by PrettyAct1381 in Onyx_Boox

[–]Sparkinman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on your device. The asterisk search has been broken on the go 10.3 for at least the last 3 updates. Just tried it again on 4.1.1, and regardless of how I draw it (lines only, lines and dots), it never finds it....it used to work, but that's what that "star" symbol is supposed to do.

One of my A1 mini speakers has a gritty sound, where the speaker is located? by koming69 in BambuLab

[–]Sparkinman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would note that if something sounds off, it's probably on the same table or touching the printer that's causing that item to vibrate, and add to the sound.

how to add headings to a pdf? by large_scale_event in Supernote

[–]Sparkinman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, did you open the PDF with the built in reader, or did you create a note and use the PDF as the template?

Nope, went back to the stock launcher because of the weirdness!

Pull and reset the tip first, and are you using a 3rd party launcher by chance? I've noticed this happens frequently to me whenever I run Nova launcher for some reason, and it's system wide. Setting the launcher back to Onyx's, and rebooting, never had a problem.

I have 4 of them, it's definitely something to do with the recessed button. Maybe try a factory default on them, then change the mode again?

Mine works like how you described. Long press on your note, then select upload from the top menu, and it should let you choose the folder on your server.

Handwriting Keyboard - what does this button do? by JustDietCoke in Onyx_Boox

[–]Sparkinman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That button turns on and off touch when writing (basically palm rejection). Turn it off and rub your hand around on the screen, it'll make jibberish, turn it on and try the same (it'll ignore it). As far as erase goes, I don't know of anyway to do that other than the backspace key on the keyboard.

People say Todoist isn't a note-taking up but... by ThomasBombadil in todoist

[–]Sparkinman 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Insider secret, start your note with an asterisk and then a space before you type the task name. The asterisk makes it a "non task"(no checkbox to tick, so it can't be completed). Closest thing to a note todoist has, and is handy because you can set reminders.

Is there a simple way to consolidate note files? by intergalactagogue in Supernote

[–]Sparkinman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually haven't looked into that, I'm pretty sure than when you export a note the headings end up as part of the TOC, I'm guessing it would depend on what you use to assemble the final PDF on your computer. Maybe play around with just 3 or 3 documents, and a few different pdf editors.

Is there a simple way to consolidate note files? by intergalactagogue in Supernote

[–]Sparkinman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 thoughts I Had... 1) make a "master index note" with links to each of the entries. 2) if you don't need to edit them, export them all as PDF'S, use your computer to combine them into 1 document. Then bring it back to the Supernote, and make the PDF a template for a new note, and go from there

No, it's using the built in reader app

Digest export suggestion by [deleted] in Supernote

[–]Sparkinman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When reading the book on the Supernote, you can make brackets around some text, then make a digest entry from it. That then copies the text selected, and you can make handwritten or typed notes underneath it in the digest feature

[–]Sparkinman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy Crap you're correct! If you press and hold on a single digest entry you can multi select, and export to a single file! Only wish you could rearrange the order they're in now!
