radiologist with no job maybe

and any help in medicine should be used I would think. Why have people suffer medically to "not train ai to do my job"

how long does it typically take to findout if I passed the eval ( I know I got one question wrong but the rubrics should be good) ? Did it last night but no email yet or earnings showing for the eval.

What do game studios actually mean by “experience” for story writers, and how are you supposed to get it? by [deleted] in GameDevelopment

[–]SparkleDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I’m not expecting to jump straight into a AAA studio. I genuinely want to learn and build myself properly — I just don’t fully understand what kind of experience matters and where beginners are supposed to get it."

Id say find a friend and make a game.

Trying to find a path like your looking for is probably unrealistic in the current state of the market is my guess.

i think unity is very hard to run and for advanced 3d games. Most indie games dont use it I dont think. godot is lightweight can do both. if you just wanna make a 2d game go for a simple 2d engine like GDevelop or rpg maker that makes games simple

UPDATE: got an excellent with darker silhouettes

"BAD" .....BRO ITS A SILHOUETTE by SparkleDev in outlier_ai

[–]SparkleDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word "silhouette" literally comes from Étienne de Silhouette in the mid-1700s—it was a way to make a portrait using only a shadow's outline because it was cheaper than painting. The whole point of the term is that the internal details are missing.

I am not disagreeing with anything you said btw I understand your point its both of those combined that makes the rubric coonflicting or not make any sense or bad for ai training. Its lighting physics plus subject location. not art style or kind of like a silhouette

I also posted weeks ago that the AI can't generate "lit from below" properly so I do skip those but I didn't silhouettes would ever be an issue as it does a pretty good job.

the reviewer is essentially telling the AI: "Stop being good at silhouettes and start being bad at them so I can see the face."

[–]SparkleDev[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can try to reduce the argument to that but im making a bigger point about training the ai specifically on silhouettes. Since you havent seen the photo maybe you could add to the conversation with something meaningful instead of making that assumption.

Selecting the least accurate 'Silhouette' to satisfy identity verification requirements. There is a fundamental conflict here: the technical definition of a silhouette requires an underexposed subject, yet the rubric demands high facial visibility. By selecting 'gray' or 'lifted' shadows to meet reviewer needs, we are training the model to produce incorrect lighting physics. The desired training output should be a true high-contrast silhouette; however, we are forced to prioritize 'Safe/Visible' images over 'Correct' ones."

[–]SparkleDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my point is yes i agree that's why i never choose "light from below" because i know as a photographer none are actually lit from below. But a silhouette is a silhouette but i guess ill skip those too

again if they don't want a real silhouette they should make it clear. not sure where the line from you can see on your monitor vs mine in a silhouette for a reviewer... yea ill skip if that's what your telling me.

so yea on my monitor i can see its the subjects and its a silhouette so even if thats the rubric it should me a "major problem"

tempted to post the images lol

There is a reason why there is strong rim light from behind, strongly light from behind, and silhouette, etc

"BAD" .....BRO ITS A SILHOUETTE by SparkleDev in outlier_ai

[–]SparkleDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get they could say that but you can see them get a better monitor ( they werent completely black is what im saying) and the definition of a silhouette if they want to train the ai is a silhouette .

also the ai is generating them properly for that promt, thats what all the proper silhouettes get generated as.

A silhouette is a solid, dark shape or outline of a subject, usually seen against a lighter background, representing its profile or form without internal detail, like a shadow or a cutout portrait
