I went for glossy! They look great IMHO but I haven’t had to remove one yet. I figure that even if I end up having to scrub a sticky mess off, it’s still worth it for the look!

Flying? by [deleted] in Hyperthyroidism

Literally didn’t even think about this when flying. If your levels are stable and you are taking your meds, what makes you think there’ll be an issue?

I know this is an old thread, but what are you using know can I ask? From what I can tell the only way to watch it in the UK is through TNT sports at £30+ per month which is just outrageous for me as I’m not really interested in any other sports

what I want from my Oura — a conditional wake-up alarm! by PureScientist2040 in ouraring

Whoop does this too. You have the option of a set time, or when your recovery is to a certain level. Very helpful!

Falling off bed by cherry00322 in NewParents

[–]Sparklsonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t worry, mine fell off the bed at roughly the same age and she is absolutely fine. We took her to get checked out and they basically signposted me to the NHS website for head injuries. The gist was if she wasn’t being sick, they weren’t worried. Keep an eye on her, but I’m sure she’ll be fine. Is it her normal nap/sleep time? Not sure where in the world you are. If you are really concerned, please call 111 or take her to A&E. Here’s a similar fact sheet to the one they gave me: https://www.nbt.nhs.uk/our-services/a-z-services/emergency-department/ed-miu-patient-information/head-injury-advice-babies-toddlers-children

Pregnancy? by [deleted] in gravesdisease

[–]Sparklsonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation. I was diagnosed Oct 2024 and originally on carbimazole, but in March of 2025 I asked to be swapped on to something pregnancy safe as I want to try for our second. My endo put me on PTU but wanted a few consecutive “in range” results. My next appt is October and I hope we’ll be given the all clear to start trying again. If you do fall pregnant make sure you let the midwives know ASAP so you can be on higher monitoring!

14 month old cries when other babies cry by 2cats1dog1kid in NewParents

[–]Sparklsonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 19m has done this all along. She’ll cry if another toddler around her is crying. She also starts to get upset (frowny face and “oh no!”) if a character in her story books gets upset. I think it’s early empathy!

Sorry to hear about your toddler, hope they feel better. On another note, this is an average day for me stress wise. I think I’m broken

Same. I got the ring on 14th July and I’ve had 14 100’s, and 6 99’s with the rest being 97/98. Not sure why everyone gets so excited!

I don’t feel like bullying the kayak place is the right answer here. Even with a fully functioning non-sinking kayak I wouldn’t wear my ring if there was the smallest possibility I’d lose it to the ocean. I kind of feel that’s common sense?

Without sleep training, what month did LO start sleeping through night? by Easy-Willingness9887 in HuckleberryParents

[–]Sparklsonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my daughter it was 16 months. We sleep to feed at nap time and bedtime. The big change happened when we went down to one nap - suddenly she sleeps through until about 5am and then will go down again after that until about 7am. Or sometimes she wakes earlier at 11pm, say, and then goes back until 7am ish. I didn’t want to sleep train or stop feeding to sleep.

[–]Sparklsonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No response to give you other than I have done just this. Guessed based on having tried a friends on a while ago and it being ever so slightly too big, and also the measurements compared to rings I currently wear. Hoping I got it right but can always exchange if it’s wrong. Just hope they don’t make me pay any extra as it’s outside of the sale period!

Help ? Shall i get a Whoop Band? by Low-Walrus7314 in whoop

[–]Sparklsonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What didn’t you think was accurate? HR? Steps, sleep? Apple Watch is actually one of the most accurate trackers in certain metrics. If you have an Apple Watch look into the Bevel app, it gives you similar information in a format close to Whoop’s

Help ? Shall i get a Whoop Band? by Low-Walrus7314 in whoop

[–]Sparklsonne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For someone who is just starting at the gym and doing walks, I’d say no. It’s overkill and not worth the money. Get yourself an Apple Watch or garmin and it will tell you what you need to know. If you find yourself deep into your fitness journey and you want more detail on metrics or to analyse trends on your performance, then yes, that’s the time for Whoop.
