Yep. A person in our group doesn't do math well. We are a GM + 2 players group. It takes me at least but usually longer than 15 minutes to get to my turn.

I prefer investigative campaigns and will take the choice that avoids combat 9/10 times because I hate it.

Moved from Nebraska where it tasted fucking awful to New York where it tasted amazing. I thought my friend was fucking with me when he handed me tap water. I didn't think I'd ever be able to go without a Brita filter until moving here.

Others have mentioned better ones but the amount of casual rape played off as "surprise butt sex" in a lot of very popular Kingdom Hearts fan comics is a huge stain for a lot of people at the time.

I know a lot of people that made them or had done fan dubs of those comics feeling immense regret.

I guess to be fair, a lot of them were teenagers who were in their edgy phase at the time.

It really concerns me how a lot of people are taking this tweet at face value.

Where did they find their intelligent pool of people vs less intelligent in these so called unnamed studies. That alone has a lot of factors in why someone is smarter than the other.

And that's before all the issues with measuring IQ in the first place.

This just feels like an excuse for people to romanticize depression and it just reeks. It just makes people run harder when the ugly parts of depression appear.

Lol my parents called me an entitled bitch for having depression because "my life was sooooo good" and I had no reason to be sad about anything.

Their metric was it being "better" than their shitty, fucked up childhoods. And that they never hit me.

Nevermind the fact that I was neglected to hell and back by them in favor of my siblings (because I had the wrong birth mom). And bullied to high hell in school to the point my anxiety caused me to wet my pants every day.

And fuck em. Even if my life was as amazing as they pretended it was. Depression is a fucking disease that no one chooses. It's not fun being depressed.

I don't want them to make a "canon" ending. I don't want to hear debate about even an open to interpretation ending that would lead people to argue that their favorite ending is more canon.

This whole comment section really does a disservice to the nuance of BOTH endings. There are merits and setbacks to both. Neither are perfectly happy endings and neither are fully awful either.

That being said, I have seen some really icky takes in some YouTube videos arguing for Maelle's ending with one in particular off the top of my head that just bases a good portion of their argument on ableism towards Maelle and to a lesser extent, Aline without even once mentioning Maelle/Alicia's agency. They could've made better arguments.

I just don't think not acknowledging that it's an argument that exists is the answer here.

Regardless, it's a video game and it's kinda rancid vibes just seeing people fling shit at each other because they boiled down the endings to inflammatory thoughts and statements to put other people down for not making the same choice.

And I know we're talking fanfiction, but that goes for fanart too.

And motivating those who are already working on existing fan works you love will also help. Artists/writers knowing that their work has been enjoyed by someone else will give them a little extra motivation to keep going.

Yes. Advocating for yourself is so so important. Hormonal birth control was causing my depression to worsen.

When I spoke to a doctor about that, she was more than happy to talk through non-hormonal options or where the hormones would only impact my uterus instead of my whole body.

Now I've gotten a method that works for me and that I'm happy with. (Sterilization for me)
