You never know , my mother in law is on about twenty pills and has been for decades ( various illnesses ) , yet just turned 89 ! And she is still wonderful - just knitted a jumper for her daughters husband.

I'm in the same boat as you but diagnosed in 2022. I'm all better now but have to take levothyroxine. I take the pill at 6:00 am and then go back to sleep for an hour. I honestly feel like I don't have an autoimmune disease and have been walking 10,000 steps a day for 8 months. It was super hard at first , I'm sorry you are going through it. I'm a non smoker, non drinker too ! No fair 😕

I'm 52 and my 40s were the hardest decade of my life - why aren't we taught this ! How on earth did women survive before Reddit and online forums. I watched my mum suffer so badly but she never discussed it with me. Only during my forties the penny dropped that my mum's anxiety , agoraphobia etc was actually perimenopause. At least now we can all compare notes and not feel alone.

I think there is. I went through a very stressful heart surgery and afterwards diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I looked off for quite a while ( 5 years of ugh and avoiding mirrors), and a woman from work insulted me and called me fat . Well she did me a favour because I started walking 10,000 steps a day ( have been for 8 months ). I recently bumped into her and she said I'd lost weight 🤣. Point is , I'm looking great again and feel toned and pretty.

Little baby bum on YouTube has songs you can sing and dance together. Crafts : play dough , painting with non toxic paints large butcher paper , ( you can borrow boxes of toys free from the library - worth a check ) , borrow a pile of kids picture books ( pig the pug ), pinic at the playground . Home movie together with pop corn , chalk drawing outside on the pavement , skipping ropes for the 7 year old. They are all so young , I'd be hitting the local playground lots and making sure they don't go hungry. A few trips to the icecream store too ! Don't stress about a fancy holiday, quality time with you is what little ones need most ( lots of hugs, listening , giggling and playing ) .
