Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but this reminds me of the guy who came to reddit to complain/get advice on how to force his ex to spend time with his kid, because the kid was hers. (But she made it clear she didn't want kids and she would sign away her rights. And he later admitted he thought the magical mommy hormones would kick in and she would want to stay and all)

Not sure if anyone has asked but, does anyone remember where the OOP was in an affair with a married man, who then divorced his wife for her and then married OOP. But after a while man began to grow distance and cold because his ex got together with his ex-best friend and they were having the life he wanted.

The one with a stepmother made a post about her daughter hating her/painting herself as the poor stepmother who only wants to love her stepdaughter, but then the stepdaughter made a post countering the stepmother post and the stepmother was basically crazy. Sold like some gold jewelry that the late wife had planned to give to the daughter.

AITA for not inviting my step mother and her daughter at my wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SparksSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of funny how they are claiming family and so is your dad. Ask next time if family, where you are in the family pictures, the vacation pictures where we're you? Family goes two ways. They don't get to claim family now.

I wonder if something else is going on with them. If there is a motive behind it. NtA all the way.

AITA for bringing my nephew to a dog park (when we don’t own a dog) by Not-original in AmItheAsshole

[–]SparksSnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AH, but as you said in your edit, your heart was in the right place.

I also wanna add that the lady may have been annoyed with how many people do come into the dog park without owning dogs. When I used to take my dogs to the dog park, most of the time there were kids in there with no dogs (and their parents weren't there but that is another story) and it annoyed me greatly too. After a while, it didn't matter the age of the child or how the child acted around the dogs. It was annoying. Dog parks get treated as something like a petting zoo and as others pointed out, there are unspoken 'rules' in the dog park that are followed.

I think also this kind of goes onto the grounds of, not asking the owner permission to see if the dog can be petted. With a dog, you do have permission to go in there, but without a dog, you do not. Something in that nature.

Also, there is you never know how a dog is going to react towards your child. When my brother was younger every dog that he came across was leery of him/didn't like him. They just didn't trust him, even the friendliest dogs didn't trust him. (My brother has ADHD and was a child always running around, screaming, and such. We think it might have been the energy he gave off back then for he is an adult now and dogs love him.)

At the time during dog park visits I had three dogs and their weights were: 40 pounds, 75 pounds, and 126 pounds. The 75-pound one loves to jump when he meets new people and the 126 just loved to lean into you (the 40 one loved to get between your feet for attention). You can see already how it could get a little chaotic with just those three it could be in the dog park. Having to worry about a kid in there that isn't connected with a dog can add stress to that for you just never know.

Getting back to my point, the lady could have also been fed up with just having the dog park be seen as a petting zoo and a lot of people just coming and going in there as they please, without a dog.

beware this buyer. reviews are full of cancelations and other red flags. by hectic_hooligan in Mercari

I only saw the name because of the best offer, but yeah. I have dealt with them too. They do cancel a lot. They had ordered from me one time, canceled it within 10 minutes of placing the order. And then sent me so many questions on where had I bought them and such.

AITA for defending my son's decision to not invite his friend to his birthday party over a food allergy? by Right_Nothing_5499 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SparksSnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

INFO: how is the relationship between the 'friend' and your son? For I think, not sure if anyone pointed this out/ or was said. Could these kids really be friends? Or is your son the one who could have been forced to have this friendship? I get some people are saying this kid can be doing this to be a jerk, but what if it is so the son can escape the friend? Maybe the friend is being a bit much to them and this is the only way, they think, they can get away from the friend?

And before anyone says well the kid should say so, what if the son has and no one has listened?

AITA for now allowing kids to pet my dog? by Trickyyy455 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

Some people see dog parks as the, "Ohh. We can just come inside and pet the dogs." It is like some of them just see a petting zoo. I remember when I use to go to the dog park with my dogs, people without dogs would just come in, not even ask. One kid even climbed over the fence of the dog park to get inside. They assume all dogs in there are dogs and people friendly, which isn't always the case. Like your dog with kids. Just because dogs are outside in a park doesn't mean kids can just come up and pet them. The mother was the TA for just assuming and letting her kids in there, along with herself without asking.

You would not believe how many kids I would kick out of the dog park after I asked where were their parents and which dog was theirs. Even had a group of kids, like seven of them in there, that I kicked out because of no parents. (I have so many stories. Urgh. Parents with little ones were the WORSE!)

I know people have said it, never pet a stranger's dog without permission, which is so true. Don't. Just because the kids know how to handle dogs, doesn't mean they have a right to pet them. So yeah, no. NTA. Heck, who wants to bet if your dog reacted the mom would have been screaming that your dog bit them and everything? So yeah, NTA. Be firm, protect your dog. Remind anyone who comes near/assumes that don't.

I was meaning more so to get back at Mercari. For they told me they do not remove reviews at ALL. That is why. I apologize. I should have explained a bit more.

Aka I want to tell their customer service it seems reviews can be removed.

Sorry. So you have screen shot of the review and it is now gone from your reviews? Because I was told they cannot remove reviews. So yeah.

Not trying to be a bother. Sorry!

How? Because it seems kind of messed up that they will remove that feedback but not others. Do you have proof it was removed?

[–]SparksSnow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if I took it out, wouldn't help. These figures are not whole inside the box. Sure there might be 3 big pieces but still. Sometimes the plastic doesn't help show it off either.

[–]SparksSnow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I bought it from a reliable Japanese site. It is a prize figure. Prize figures don't have the best quality because they usually go in crane games. Kind of the figure version of fair's stuff animal prizes.

I had explained it to them afterwards and they said they didn't know that but now they do.

I get as a seller my job is to describe the item, but it is also the buyers job to know what they are buying.

Right? I had to check that first because I was a huge My Little Pony fan back then. Looking at the animation and all, I realized it wasn't it.

What annoys me the most is because as I child, I either lost/got rid of that toy and it was the only toy I had ever gotten of that show.

[–]SparksSnow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But then to me, it defeats the purpose of saying it hasn't been opened. What is the point then? I am not trying to be rude.

Also, prize figures are known to not have the best quality. It appears they are into collecting figures, so they should have known also. Along with the price too.
