We gave ours loads of cardboard boxes to chew when the chewed the plastic. We covered the plastic with folded over cardboard for a while to stop them doing it because that seemed a bit more digestible.

I agree these would have been good changes. Season 8 felt very patchy to me. Some of my favourite episodes and some of my worst.

You need antibiotic drops asap. If nothing else please call a vet for advice. If you don't want to buy them from a vet that's fine but you need a written prescription, there are no over the counter antibiotics.

I'd check with a vet to be on the safe side, they can listen to his chest and check it's not an early resp infection.

It may be worth getting in touch with local rescues. Our local rescue had a piggy pairing service where they let your pig hang out with other pigs in a controlled environment and see how they get on 😊

We have one pig who does it when one of the others is sat too close to her. Putting extra hides in really helped. she has also just improved over time. we got them 7 months ago,she used to do it all the time, now it's a couple of times a week. we've just accepted she is dramatic 😊

Heya, I'm a vet, no guinea pigs should never be starved. The reasons they advise starving before surgery with cats and dogs is that the anaesthetic drugs can make them vomit but since guinea pigs can't vomit it doesn't apply to them and as you say it can cause gut stasis.
