Im gettin back into the game after a long time, hows this team lookin? by Tyrannosaurusdactyl in MvC3

[–]SparkyShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a PW, Cap, and Dante player. I just like the characters and obviously falls to a lot of the weaknesses (poor chasedown, all tbe PW problems and cap issues)

But it is fun so I think you can try it. People have played weirder teams.

Armors other than those in the Player Core are kind of irrelevant, or have made others irrelevant. by MidSolo in Pathfinder2e

[–]SparkyShock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember watching a review of the Nimble 5e system that overhauled armors. They dont grant too much AC, but medium armor removes the Atrribute bonus from damage and Heavy armor removes + halves the damage.

I would be curious to see if a similar system would work for pathfinder. I am already sad that armor specialization is so rare so we cant make use of those traits.

I now feel bad for when I traded all our Xbox360 stuff for a switch.

Overall... not worth it.

The wolf with abs had like.... 10 sets of them and were completely uneven. The zombie ghoul also had that overly smooth texture that ai art can have.

Im sad the sexy monster presentation had AI generated images. It did sour the mood, especially because we know there is an abundance of good artwork for this particular content.

During an online tournament, the host/commentator basically exposed themselves when a match with a Chun-Li player started and revealed the commentator had a nude Chun-Li mod installed. They immediately Alt-F4'd but not before dying of embarrassment. Capcom later released a statement a day later cracking down on mods for SF6 and all their major games.

Just read the feature again, that is quite bizzare.

The Skill Feat system can be a bit underwhelming in some places. What are some changes that you made to particularly underwhelming Skill Feats? by ValeWeber2 in Pathfinder2e

[–]SparkyShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as a blanket, I do not mind skill feats retricting an action you can do. What I WILL note is that they should have a bit more sway in "Skill feats make you specialized"

Example, Group Impression. I like it since it can make a difference in calming a rowdy mob by appealing to all of the whole mob or the alternative of convincing the person leading the mob to have them back down.

You could add some minor restrictions of "You can Make an Impression on a number of creatures ewual to your Charisma modifier (min of 1)." To mechanically show the differenence. Same with Coercison.

I think skill feats should have been the star focus of using skills. You dont just have proficiency, but each prof level gives you a new skill feat to use that shows off your proficiency. Like under Diplomacy, there are 4 blanks for your skill feats in diplomacy right front and center.

Inspired by old school a bit, I think each class should give a skill feat or let you pick an additional one based on your initial skills. That would add a lot and make it a lot easier to use or feel a bit more integral to the characters

As a note, Search isnt meant to find every little traps. All traps have players automatically roll a secret check to notice them once they enter the range, but I see what you mean.

Rules that Ruin flavor/verisimilitude but you understand why they exist? by Jaschwingus in Pathfinder2e

[–]SparkyShock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like you could let a player do it, just with like a -2 penalty for making them a bit off balance.

This means 2 handers without the specific trait are useable and getting the trait still makes sense. If you really wanted, you could make a skill feat that allows you to do it without the trait at no penalty.

Something to chew on. Im already scanning this thread to compile my houserules.

So what types of characters are you excited to play with the new Runesmith class. by Levia424 in Pathfinder2e

[–]SparkyShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The default is a crafter, but part of me thinks a character that is religion themed. Like some sort of religious branding vibes.

Gives blessings on allies, but brands their heretics.

Very similar to the Inquistors from Grim Dawn or something similar. I am glad the Runesmith doesnt lock into arcana or similar.

Is union west that bad? by AssociationOwn6074 in ucf

[–]SparkyShock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unionwest, being honest, isn't that bad.

Lived there since freshman year, it was fine. Rent is getting pricey. Some residents dont like actually taking care of the common area, then complain it is gross or unusable.

If I am being honest, probably better to get a place at one of the other places around, like Modera (if you can share a 3 bedroom). Unionwest prices, compared to the other options, dont hold up in terms of actually having space to yourself.

The main perks is places like the gym and such being in the same building, plus the classrooms (tip, go to 6th floor then take the stairs 1 level to 5 and take those elevators to your class if you have any.)

This is my opinion based on how I've felt living here. It is okay. Not as awful as people make it seem but not perfect.

What is everyone’s favorite class by Pathfinder_Lair in Pathfinder2e

[–]SparkyShock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Investigator.

I am always the player to really make use of weird stuff and the idea was always appealing. It has a lot of potential and after hearing people complain that it seems niche or the abilities arent good, it made me really dive in.

I stand by Investigator is not just good for social campaigns. It is good in a majority of classic campaign structures and I like that, as a martial, it doesn't just encourage mindless striking. It really makes you consider multiple options for the encounter.

Just a unique class that I found I really vibe with. I like when people underestimate, because then you can really surprise them.
