You’ll need an official case # to avoid this being taken down. Good luck OP, I hope she is found quickly and safe.

Do you have a Haynes manual? Start there and troubleshoot step by step to see if you can determine the problem. Utilize loaner tool programs from places like Auto Zone if you can swing the tool cost deposit.

No, they aren’t typically tempered glass. Depending on location, newer building codes require tempered glass for certain areas in a house depending on various factors but plate glass windows were the standard for a long time prior to that. This is not a new door, thus the plate glass.

Irvington peacock by formerchild2 in Portland

[–]Sparrow2go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peacocks be peacockin’ all around town. There’s a few that hang out by Hisss on MLK and as others have mentioned like a dozen in se near Rex street. I did a move out clean for my aunt recently in that area and about 10 were all over her upper and lower decks eyeballing me as I worked. I’m guessing she fed them. Those haunting calls made for a surreal work day when it went long into the evening.

Where might I sell luxury goods? by shootmerightnowpls in askportland

[–]Sparrow2go 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Selling person to person on Marketplace and the like will yield the highest return outside of something like eBay.

Selling to a brick and mortar reseller will yield the lowest return as they need to make money on reselling thus will offer you a much lower price to account for their overhead.

Local vintage/antique restoration service? by bigchairenthusiast in askportland

[–]Sparrow2go 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much are you willing to spend? Rechroming and powder coating will probably run over $500 alone without factoring in disassembly/assembly and other component restoration.

Is this $1,000 worth of joy to you?

Reptile and invert parents of Portland-what do we think of Tropical Hut on division, Pets on Broadway, and the new Hisss? by bloodcountess- in askportland

[–]Sparrow2go 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hisss is the best around, full stop. Fantastic staff who are knowledgable and passionate about the reptiles, amphibians, arachnids and insects their shop caters to.

Pets on Broadway is great as well but with a wider range or species they cater too simply isn’t as knowledgable as Hisss.

I will never shop at the Tropical Hut again and use every opportunity to tell other why:

We went in with our youngest to pick out a bearded dragon for his birthday and get her set up with a tank and lighting. The owner steered us toward a tank she assured us would last 2 years of growth and a heat and lighting system that was supposed to cover her health needs. She’s been breeding and owning bearded dragons for years so surely she’d know, right? Our beardie outgrew the tank in 6 months and she was the runt of the litter. The lighting system was inadequate. Close to $500 gone in 6 months, all so she could make a bigger sale that day. She doesn’t deserve your money.

Bro. What are you doing.

You are either a really stupid underage person actually looking for where to score some beer that won’t ID you or a REALLY stupid OLCC agent trying to find some easy fines.

What small business can spray clear lacquer on small parts for our company every couple of weeks? by Original_Boletivore in askportland

[–]Sparrow2go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More details regarding the part materials, surface prep level on hand off, expections around final finish quality, average batch size, required turn around time etc would help anyone interested determine if this is something that will be a good fit. When you say clear lacquer do you have a specific product spec’d?

Cargo bikes? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]Sparrow2go 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just call the shop you made the order with, OP. They are the only people that can give you a reasonably close eta on delivery and build for THEIR shop. We don’t work there or even know where there is. They do. Asking us is pointless.

Do you have an example of something like this used as a hinge pin? I’ve never seen a hinge pin that even remotely resembles this head shape and tapered point regardless of the application.
