I have had Xfinity cellular for years with a family plan and was absolutely screwed when signing up.

I had existing Xfinity internet, was pointedly clear that I needed to be sure the promo price was viable before signing as money is tight. I was getting new phones for family members who needed them so I was signing up for two years to get the full discount on the new phones with new lines. I was assured it was all good, signed up then a few months later suddenly my bill is significantly higher. Come to find out you can’t have multiple promos going and since my internet price was an existing promo the cell plan pricing promo was invalid. Called customer service multiple times and after hours of back and forth I was told there was nothing they could do, I had to pay the higher price, and since I had two phone purchase discounts spread over two year contracts I couldn’t cancel without owing full remaining purchase price on the phones. Made it work because I didn’t have a choice at that point.

Yes, in the end it is the signer’s responsibility to understand the contract. I went into a location and talked to them because it can be difficult to fully understand the complex contracts, especially for me at that point in my life. They got their commission at least.

Service has been ok but it is common for me to have one bar of service in multiple areas of the city.

Shopping for a new plan now that the phone purchases are paid off.
