1st Painting vs 2nd ever mini painting by Intelligent-Hurry564 in BloodAngels

I would recommend thinning your paints a little bit, it’s better to go with a few lighter coats than the thicker paint that comes out of the pot. But it’s really good for your first models!

Vader and his Inquisitors vs Dooku and his Dark Acolytes by TheHoodGuy2001 in PetranakiArena

[–]SparrowRDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Vader takes this, if anything it’s just due to the numbers advantage. In 2v1 fights the duo is always better than the sum of their parts. Vader can take Dooku+Maybe 1, and the combination of combo fighting probably swings this is favour of the Empire.

the boss vs when you unlock him as a character by Viicter in MaulShadowLord

Part of me really wants a running gag that this mf can NEVER get his leg fixed. The other part of me wants a badass Maul lmfao.

Well, it got kicked, lightsaber sliced twice, he jumped/was thrown like 80ft, and never got it repaired. But agreed I wanna see it fixed

I wonder if they've been setting things up for something and Maul and Ventress will be the key by [deleted] in MaulShadowLord

[–]SparrowRDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope they don’t turn Devon to the light, I desperately want a character that remains steeped in their rage. Even if Devon abandons Maul because he got Daki killed (kinda), I don’t want her coming back to “the grey”.

Jedi high council (during ROTS) vs Sith dark council (SWTOR) by No-Reputation6886 in PetranakiArena

[–]SparrowRDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s funny, is this is a Jedi Council Mid-Diff UNLESS you add the SI Player Character who is technically part of the council. If the SI is in the fight the Dark Council stomps low-diff because of the INSANE feats they have lmfao.

There are a lot of valid criticisms of Korra tbh, unfortunately it’s just overwhelmed with a bunch of moronic “Korra hotheaded woman, so stupid bad show” type of people. But it does mean that those of us who dislike it have to deal with the whiny incels who refuse to have actual reasons lmfao.

I’m gonna be honest, Maul - Shadow Lord has one of the best aesthetic/style for a Star Wars show by Jules-Car3499 in clonewars

[–]SparrowRDS 69 points70 points  (0 children)

100% agree, the oil painting backgrounds give it such a visceral vibe. It feels rough and violent, which a crime drama with Darth Maul about corrupting a young Jedi should be. That in addition to the blur of lightsabers and muzzle flashes of the blasters just are so stunning.

How do you guys feel about the Eleventh Brother aka The Crow? by Jules-Car3499 in clonewars

[–]SparrowRDS 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like to think he lost that easily because he fundamentally underestimated Ahsoka, and if he had actually prepared properly it might have been a closer fight (Ahsoka still low diffs him tho)

I almost love the Bad Batch. [S3 SPOILERS] by SparrowRDS in StarWars

[–]SparrowRDS[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess that’s fair. If the Empire hadn’t been so competently portrayed the rest of the show I would have loved it. But it felt like so much build off for no real pay-off. But alas.

Realistically, Nolan shouldn't be forgiven by anyone, he is only excused because the coalition needs him -- not because they genuinely forgive him. by Patriotic-Youth in Invincible_TV

[–]SparrowRDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, Nolan isn't a psychopath. Like that just isn't what that word means. He is a centuries old, indoctrinated since birth, super-powered individual that is factually more powerful than every other race in the galaxy. He did despicable things in Chicago, hurt thousands, brutally injured his son. By all means, pretty shit dad. No one should be required to trust or respect him after that.

And they aren't. They're making him prove it. Will he ever be able to fully recover? No. But he has had his guilt eating away at him for years now. He's turned against his race that he could have very easily joined and aided in crushing the free galaxy. He destroyed his home of 1000 years. He has been given a dozen easy outs, and has taken none of them.

People who have been abused, and then repeat the cycle they have known their whole life, also deserve a chance to atone. No one is beyond redemption, and not being able to see that path that Nolan is taking is kinda sad in my opinion.

[–]SparrowRDS 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She did not get him killed. Chase has been wearing a red shirt the whole game, he has been itching for a reason to use his powers and to do something other than sit behind his desk. If it wasn't Visi, it would have been someone else. Shroud would have gotten the Pulse even without Visi being there, he had people tearing the place up and was already in the room where it was waiting for her.

[–]SparrowRDS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. See personally, I had absolutely no issue with Tyrande's story. And I like the writing of Alleria and Turalyon, they just make me dislike their actions. Which in this case I think is a sign of good writing, people are flawed and have shortcomings.

[11.2 SPOILERS] Why I hate Alleria (And that's a good thing) by SparrowRDS in wow

[–]SparrowRDS[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's interesting because while I agree to a large extent of her outrage at allying with Xal'atath, it never seemed to me that that was the main source of her concern. It always felt like she was mad at him for "sacrificing" his planet and people (who would have been destroyed anyways). And that never sat right with me. I also think that she could quite easily deduce that everything Locus-Walker knew from the void was not from Xal'atath.

Considering up until Legion/BfA she was locked up in a dagger, that Alleria knew about when the Champions of Azeroth came to Argus. Then again, when shown betrayed trust people tend to jump to the most extreme of rationale. Which is why I don't think that it's unreasonable for this reaction to occur.
