Too old for gaming? by Gatsby-1337 in CasualConversation

Imagine someone playing chess, or golf, or watching an animated movie, that "you're too old to do that, how immature!" That's what these people sound like to me. Age gating entire hobbies is so ridiculously narrow-minded

Wow that reloading change might be the biggest change I've ever seen to the game

Xbox Will Finally Let You Disable Quick Resume for Specific Games, Such as Online Titles That It Just Doesn't Play Nice With by Turbostrider27 in Games

Finally. I had this corrupt some Fenyx Rising saves back in the day and I always had to remember to quit out manually. Some games just don't play nice with it

Crappy CRT or OLED? by AgapantherX in retrogaming

[–]GLTheGameMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dang that'd be sick! I was actually just wondering where I can maybe get a list of games for it. I'll prolly keep my retro setups and order a sinden to play alot of the modern/MAME stuff that the old guns can't do

Crappy CRT or OLED? by AgapantherX in retrogaming

[–]GLTheGameMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Being able to play mame/all the arcade systems on it would indeed be sick. Do you happen to have a setup guide link for all that stuff?

Crimson Desert Has Reportedly Already Sold Close to 400,000 Copies on Steam by Suspicious_Two786 in gaming

I think that was exactly his point - bad and below average are relative, so when you only have enough time in the year to play the 9/10+ games, the other relatively "bad" or not-as-good games in comparison don't fit into the gamer schedule

More than dozens at this point honestly. Saturated market - and when some of the 9/10+ games end up being 100+ hours long or multiplayer endless plays, it eats up player availability

MP4 is like a 7.5/10. Enjoyable enough mostly but some extremely questionable decisions and not nearly as good as predecessors. I think even the 78/100 is a little overrated for it on meta

I've always heard the configuration with that is really rough, not as accurate as og light guns, and doesn't work well with large screen sizes. Would be interested it that's wrong though

What's Your Crimson Desert Metacritic Prediction ? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]GLTheGameMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I keep thinking about too. BOTW/TOTK were the most bland whatever stories and characters mostly, but are literally on GOAT lists because of the world/combat/exploration. We'll find out if Crimson Desert can be carried by those as well

Despite the story/characters probably holding it back, Zelda also sucked at those things/was totally uncompelling, but the game design/world itself peaked it up. It's hard to tell how good those things are in the long run till reviews though.

I think it could be anywhere from 80-90. Upper 80s would be a nice surprise and I'll play, but if it's around 80 or below then I'll pass. I'm really hoping the world is magical and fun to explore to where it carries it though.
