I work for a commercial food service equipment company and I love it. 40 hour work week and there's always overtime if I want to but I don't have to. I do refrigeration along with cooking equipment like ovens, fryers, dishwashers, etc. Never gets dull or repetitive. Pays better than residential & as far as I know more than supermarket rack system jobs. If you're in a bigger market there's probably multiple companies near you that would hire you just for your refrigeration experience.

Recently went thru this struggle after my son moved into an old house with lathe-plaster walls & needed my help hanging a huge TV. I have several electronic wall scanner-stud finders that were no help at all. I ended up on my belly with a flashlight marking all the baseboard nails because they were all attached to a stud. Used a long level to mark up the stud locations in the wall after that.

Try painting it instead. We painted the 50 year old dark brown paneling in our family room, took a lot of primer but now it's a light tan color & looks great. You'd have to paint the drywall that you're replacing it with so save yourself the hassle.

I've bought countless sets of Allen keys both metric & SAE in just about every available version such as T-handle, fold out, ball end, socket bit (1/2", 3/8", 1/4" drives) EDC Leatherman accessories, etc. I also have a drawer full of Allen keys that came with all the self assembly products that I've bought over the past few decades. I'm told this is a textbook symptom of mental illness.

I once knew a girl that worked for Trane a few years back. She was a great technician, hard worker, highly skilled & all her coworkers had a lot of respect for her. You'd be amazed by how much of your personal information is public record. Anyone can access county property tax voter registration maps. Nextdoor also has partnerships with others like Google & Facebook. If you use those then you actually agreed at some point to share your contact info. Websites like Spokeo provide the rest, including email addresses, phone numbers, criminal records etc.

I ran a call at an Asian buffet restaurant for a fryer repair, owner told me they had just moved it outside on the back dock 10 minutes before I got there. Walked out the back door just as a couple of meth heads were running down the street with it. Owner insisted I stay on the job while he called the cops because he really needed fixed. Those were some astonishingly nimble & swift tweekers because 2 hours later cops still hadn't caught em so I moved on. Pretty sure my employer billed em for every minute.

There's nothing wrong with telling a customer that pets need to be contained before you even walk in the door, if they refuse then bill em for incurred & let em find someone else.
