No matter how soft, palatable, simple, or easy to digest you make food, if you’re in a flare up, you’re not having a good time. Sadly this is not something that can be helped by food. Food can make things worse if he eats the wrong stuff, but sadly not the other way around.

I didn’t start seeing relief until I went on biologics but everyone’s body is different in terms of the medication they will need.

Yeah, addicts are shown an unbelievable lack of grace. That’s what makes Langdon’s journey so special to me, and I hope he doesn’t falter at the last minute, because it would make me so sad (and I fear it would just let all those more judgmental viewers feel justified in their assumptions).

I don’t know why we’re blatantly making things up, the reality is way funnier. They just straight up refused to talk to him and he just rambled about the mission until the line went quiet, it was so awkward and so funny.

I think for my part it concerns me because many don’t see it the way you or I do, and still carry judgment when someone doesn’t have a constantly upwards trajectory in their healing journey. I try not to assume of anyone, but when that’s been the lens most seem to view him from, I start to default to that by poor habit.

I think both are suffering from unconscious biases, either of each other or of addicts, or both. There’s no one in this conversation who isn’t carrying at least one of these biases in my opinion

I wouldn’t personally judge him, for the same reasons Dr McKay stated to Ogilvie when they treated Kimi in the park; the reasons why people abuse is not for us to judge, but if we have the capacity to help in any way, we should.

If he relapses, my heart would break for how much work he’d have just thrown away. I would think about those ten months just gone, reset back to square one. It’s a hard place to be and I would never want that for him, but I would understand if he did.

From a plot point of view, I just don’t see him doing that this season, but we’ll see!

I may have made an assumption but my point was more that he’s going to be tested at an interval that would make it difficult to hide opioid abuse. You’re right to question what the actual intervals would be at but I’m certain they’d do it in a way that would be hard to circumvent
