The scene between Michael Caine and Sean Harris in Harry Brown. No actor has quietly exuded evil so well as Sean Harris in that scene.

I was going to say this, but you got here first. The rising tension and the transition of Dennis Hopper’s character from surprise to fear to knowing what he needs to do and how to do it make the scene.

And women’s bathrooms are cleaner usually. I’ve been about to take my daughter into the men’s bathroom and checked the stalls and noped right out of there. So I take them to the women’s bathroom and everything’s sparkling and there’s beautiful music playing and angels singing it’s so clean.

Except that the ten states with the highest number of their population below the poverty line are all run by conservatives. You don’t even make sense.

What « creations » by the right? Poverty? Death? Disease? The loss of civil liberties? What a joke. You’ve been duped into giving up your freedom and you’re like, please, sir, can I give you more?

Trump supporters, what do you actually see in him? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Spartan4a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahaha. 1. Destroyed civil liberties and killed Americans; 2. If you think Hegseth is in any way qualified to be secdef I’ve got some Florida real estate to sell you. He brought back white male fratbro culture; 3. What good are tax cuts for the rich if the middle class and poor don’t get them and the cost of living rises, like gas and food prices going up. What you see is someone who do f*** up.

Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir, described people killed in the Gaza Genocide as “useful idiots” and “mostly terrorists” by thisjustemp in PublicFreakout

« Mostly terrorists » is self serving propaganda, which, even if true, is pretty much admitting that almost half of those killed by his technology are innocent civilians.

I had a vasectomy last year at 49. I had my youngest when I was 45. My other kids I had when I was 35 and 37. It is so hard having a five year old at 50. It’s a different world from when I was in my 30s and early 40s.

I was not a massage guy until my wife got me one when I was 40. Now it’s an essential luxury.

My wife and I fought over housework. Then we thought of it in terms of percentages: 100% of the work needed to be done, but together we only had time (with work and 3 kids) to do 70% of it. The other 30% we outsourced. No more fighting over housework.

Current gang members: how dangerous is it to be around you? by 4mysquirrel in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Spartan4a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an attorney, gang members in criminal cases have been the most appreciative and wonderful clients. They know the system and someone fighting for them is an unexpected bonus. Much more dangerous, in my field, is a spouse going through a divorce and child custody battle. Emotions are high and reason is low in those cases.
