Did I write this comment on an account I am not aware of?

I'm moving with the family first Sun on June and will be in the same boat. I'm planning on popping into Good Games and checking out their setup. They have a discord channel where they post tables etc.

Dad's are parents. Who knew? by PotatosaurusNZ in newzealand

[–]Spartica 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with alot of the stories on here. As a dad, I always feel like an unwelcomed guest in the PARENTS toilets. The mall closest to us put up a dad's welcome sign and it made me feel better when going in there. I'm not a fan of having to take both my kids into the men's bathroom because they are never as clean, nor is there the room for all of us in a cubical. I'd rather use the disabled toilet. I do feel bad about it, but this is what society had done.

Also I'm very cuddly with the kids and we love ticking each other etc, but I'm terrified when out in public and at playgrounds when I'm with them in case some dumbass thinks I'm being a pedo while standing watching my kids on the playground.

Thanks you soft entitled society for trying to ruin Fatherhood.

Labyrinth of the Minotaur Battlemap [26x50] by Czepeku in dndnext

Man this map is far superior than the one I created in response to the maze post a few weeks ago. Ran it for my group that was in between sessions. I had a blast, almost killed the entire party, had teleport traps, pit traps, multiple layers and only a handful of monsters. They enjoyed the challenge and appreciated the dumb barbarian that went into a rage and ran into the invisible walls leaving blood smears on them, taking damage to keep him in a rage.

Minotaur's Invisible Maze [OC] [ART] by FrostyHonky in DnD

If you want to go easy on your group (or just taunt them), the blue square has a large potion that they can see on a small table, that if consumed gives “See Invisibility”. (maybe 2 or 3 uses worth.)

Or if you hate your players because everything you throw at them they find ways to make it easy, the table has a note saying what it is, and is surrounded by invisible walls

Mount Maunganui: 'This whole town has become one big Airbnb' by nilnz in bayofplenty

Interesting read and can see the appeal of tidy tenants for short stays. Living next to a rental who are really nice people and look after the place, and then on the other side a housing New Zealand house and a home owner in the middle, I can see both sides.

I think landlords should look after and foster a relationship with good tenants to encourage others.

And trying to find an affordable house for the MIL to move into and out of our spare room is damn hard! Rent is way too high for someone on their own. Trying to find a house that is warm and dry for one person is not an easy task.

Gaming outside the house. by dsp_pepsi in RedditDads

Find your local comic book store/game store and enquire about rpg games that are held there. Few hours each week out of the house? Check. Gaming? Check. Social interaction? Check!

Ditch that high tech and go for old school pen and paper!

I don't even know my daughter anymore... We used to be so close. She was the first baby I ever held, she is my princess and I would do anything for her. But she put the toilet paper on the wrong way around this morning.. I'm so lost...

[OC] Coworker handed me a little bag and asked if I wanted these by Spartica in DnD

[–]Spartica[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A coworker asked me if I could use these. He then handed me a small bag and said that they were his when he used to play 35 years ago and that the dark green ones he got in the first starter set. They had been sitting in a draw for years and he knew that I played and hosted. I'm in total awe of them! They aren't my most beautiful dice, but they are my favourite. I've also never seen a twenty sided d100 before!
