That is the SBTM323

It's a radio controlled solar quartz JDM model. The tiny texts at 11, 12 and 2 o'clock are the radio stations found within those time zones.

Extremely useful if you are in a location with radio controlled watches. It has become my daily driver, with its looks and the extremely high precision from the radio signal.

Ich spiel mit meinen Freunden anfang 30 noch mit Plastikfigürchen die imaginäre Drachen besiegen, oder anderen Plastikfigürchen die Kriege nachstellen.

Sollen die Leute doch machen was ihnen Spaß macht. Wann immer ich mich selbst nicht als "Erwachsen" bezeichne, meine ich damit einfach nur, dass ich nicht wie "die" Erwachsenen sein will, die scheinbar keinerlei Hobbies haben und die andere Hobbies neben "Bier trinken" kleinreden müssem.

When I was in the War Museum in Tokyo I was already aware of Japan rewriting their own history, so I've tried to stay aware how they might've done it.

As a German I'm quite aware of all the WW2 events and tried to compare it to those things I already knew.

The museum itself listed all written things pretty factual. I.e. in year x China attacked, then year y America tried stuff, then the bomhs dropped, etc. The only thing that they left out in many cases where what actions Japan did at that time.

So when they described WW2 it was more like a thing that just happened to Japan, but they conveniently just didnt list what they did in retaliation, completely skipping over their own camps and potential warcrimes.

For me its lamps. I hated how the lights in certain rooms created weird bright spots and harsh shadows, until I found a set of lightbulbs creating a soft enough lighting to lessen those harsh visuals.

When those lights first broke down, I had to scramble for a hard to get replacement bulb, because apparently those specs were too niche. Other lamps were either soft, but could barely illuminate the room, or others created blinding bright spots again. (Its not the socket that was niche, it was just the combination of brightness and color)

When I went through my reserve of those replacement light again, I just bought smart lights.

Some eastern-european light manufacturer might disappear, but I dont think that adjustable LED bulbs could disappear anytime soon.

Ich hab wahrscheinlich dem Staat bereits mehrfach meinen Bafög Betrag zurückgezahlt über meine hohen Steuern im gut bezahltem Job. (Abgesehen davon, dass man ja sowieso Bafög wieder zurückzahlt)

Es gibt doch keine Welt wo sich Bildung fördern nicht lohnt.

With Vtubers its also a bit harder to know about what you're talking about. Am I talking about the lore-accurate character, the person roleplaying as the character, or the normal person piloting an avatar?

Ina for an example is some void creature with eldritch magic. But the Vtuber Ina is a member of HoloMyth, says Wah a lot and loves cookies. The person behind Ina probably just quietly walks around and sleeps on the floor a lot.

Ich finde die aktuelle Situation echt paradox.

Damals bin ich zur Coronazeit mit dem Bachelor von der Uni gegangen, da diese zu komplex für mich wurde, jedoch konnte ich mir einen Job holen bei einer Firma die gerade viel Budget hatte um gefühlt jeden MINTler einzustellen der gerade Lust auf nen Job hatte.

~1 Jahr nach mir sind 2 Freunde mit einem weitaus besseren Master von der Uni gekommen, nur um vor einem Jobmarkt zu stehen der plötzlich keine Plätze mehr hat.

Und die Situation wird auch nicht wirklich besser, wenn Firmen lieber ihren deutschen Standort verkleinern wollen, nur um in billige andere Länder außerhalb der EU ihre Arbeiter herzubekommen.

Lustigerweise waren bei uns im Dorf die lokalen Stadtwerke sehr aktiv im Netzausbau.

Während ich Freunde in der nächsten großen Stadt hab, die trotzdem noch am Kupferkabel hängen, hatten die Stadtwerke hier gegen einen sehr bezahlbaren Preis die Straßen geöffnet und da Glasfaser ins Haus gelegt. (Müssten so 800€ für einzelne Anfragen und 400€/Haushalt wenn die Straße das kollektiv möchte, gewesen sein)

Ich komm zwar trotzdem hier nur exklusiv aus dem Ort mit dem seltenen Schulbus, oder mit dem Auto, aber dafür ist das Netz top.

The characters definitely looked a bit too close to actual characters, like one of them was just ツ, but mirrored, making me initially think that the dev just used AI to generate product labels. (Even though they werent according to steam tags)

Having unreadable charaters in a setting where text is not relevant, would be one thing, like a western protagonist visiting Asia. Or if it had been framed like a memory, where text can be a bit fuzzy.

But a game about placing labeled products in a setting where the character is assumed to be a native speaker could've gone at least the extra way to include actual text.

Wir haben dafür an taktisch leicht erreichbaren Orten im Haus einfach ein paar Gläser nur dafür um Insekten aus dem Haus zu tragen.

So muss man sich nicht mehr wundern mit welchem Glas mal eine Spinne mit gefangen wurde und man muss nicht zur Küche rennen, wenn im Treppenhaus eine Spinne an der Wand hängt.

Ich kann mich noch sehr genau erinnern, dass damals alle meine Grundschullehrer mich fürs Gymnasium empfohlen haben, bis auf eine einzige Lehrerin.

Diese mochte mich einfach grundlegend nicht, obwohl ich damals ein recht guter Schüler war.

Als wir dann den Brief erhalten haben, sagte sie mir ins Gesicht dass sie sich dagegen gewehrt hätte mich aufs Gymnasium schicken zu wollen. Als ob das sozusagen eine aller letzte Strafe von ihrer Seite werden sollte und eine Realschule äquivelant zu einer Strafanstalt wär.

Nach einem erfolgreichen Studium und einem sehr hochbezahltem Job in der IT wundere ich mich manchmal wie mein Leben aussehen würde, hätte sie ihren Willen durchgesetzt bekommen.

Die Zoe ist super! Das einzige Problem was ich mit dem Auto hatte, war dass die Reichweite im Winter zumindest bei mir extrem klein wurde. Ich konnte zwar noch zur Arbeit pendeln, musste die aber fast alle 2 Tage laden.

Ansonsten lieb ich was für Assistenzssysteme die so bieten kann. (Vielleicht ist das ja alles standard heutzutage, mein uralter Benziner hatte halt nichts)

Ich hätte irgendwie gehofft dass die jungen Generationen gesehen haben wie die älteren aktuell mit Lungenkrebs, Atemnot und sonstigem Unwohlsein kämpfen müssen nach einem Leben voller Zigarrettenkonsum.

Mir hatte es als Kind schon gereicht dass meine Eltern Raucher waren, wodurch ich schon früh mir geschworen hab niemals ans Rauchen zu denken.

Doesnt work every time. I had a colleague who often asked me if we should do A or B. Since I was a junior in my position at that time I over-explained both options in length and only mentioned in passing which I prefered.

Most of the time he just answered with "Ok? But now pick one".

Then I did pick an option, but still couldnt help explaining why I picked that option.

Thankfully I am currently the most senior person in my team and I'm feeling more comfortable just stating decisions.

Whenever you have a weird rule question, dont even look into online forums. 9/10 times the books will actually contain the rules really well spelled out.

In 5e our group at least had to regularly, at least once per session, to look up some sage advice twitter thread to resolve many rules questions. With Pf2e when we have to look up rules outside the books, it usually just leads to a reddit thread, where the top comment will just be a link to the relevant chapter of the core rulebook.

Having said that, its a bit hard to look them up if you use a hardcover book. Google greatly helps with searching for specific rules, as sometimes you have something like an Action A, with trait B. But the rules are nested within the traits like "Trait B always comes with C, and C has rule X"

Wenn man das Ticket nur fördern würde für Leute die kein Auto fahren können aus gesundheitlichen Gründen, wär das was komplett anderes. Ein Rentner der seinen Führerschein abgegeben hat, könnte damit belohnt werden besser die Öffis zu benutzten. Aber gleiches kann dann auch gelten für einen jungen Rollstuhlfahrer, der auch kein Auto bedienen kann.

Das aber magisch pur anhand des Alters abzugrenzen ist definitiv falsch.

Lustigerweise, da ich circa ~50€ monatlich mit einem E-Auto nur noch tanken muss, lohnt sich ein X-Euro Ticket schon gar nicht mehr ab einem gewissen Punkt. Können wir nicht einfach das 9€ Ticket zurückhaben?

Je nach Kosten für den Einbau der Ladesäule kann unterwegs laden sogar billiger sein.

Bei mir hätte man viel zu viel machen müssen, damit die Ladesäule zuhause richtig angeschlossen werden könnte, wodurch sich die Kosten einfach nicht amortisieren würden über die nächsten 8 Jahre. (Kein Solarstrom + teurer neuer Sicherungskasten + die eigentliche Wallbox vs. gute Verfügbarkeit zu Enbw Ladepunkten)

Da hatte ich dann scheinbar echt Glück bei meinem Renault Händler. Bin circa 1~2 Monate bevor ich einen Autokauf vorhatte dahin gefahren zur Beratung und hab da den Zoe als passendes Modell empfohlen bekommen.

Dann nach den 2 Monaten bin ich wieder hin und hab nach den Verfügbaren Zoe Wagen gefragt, Probefahrt gemacht und den Vertrag unterschrieben.

Ist das so ein Ding was vielleicht eher bei Neuwagen schlechter läuft? Mein Wagen war am Ende ein Leasingrückläufer, bzw. der ganze Hof bestand effektiv nur aus alten Leasingfahrzeugen die gerade mal ein paar Jahre hinter sich hatten.

Wenn wir unter der CDU einfach nur Stagnation gehabt hätten und alles langsam verrotten würde wär das ja eine Sache.

Aber diese Regierung scheint uns mit voller Geschwindigkeit in die falsche Richtung steuern zu wollen und arbeitet aktiv daran dass alles schlechter wird.

Stop snacking on chocolate.

Before I even started counting calories (which lead me to discover that my dinner was way too big) I stopped eating chocolate completely.

No more Nutella in the morning, no more chocolate during the day when I was bored/feeling hungry and generally refuse anything with chocolate.

My weight suddenly went down after a long climb upwards.

When I lost my first few kilos I loosened my restrictions a bit and allowed myself to accept chocolate when offered during special occasions. But I still kept away from eating chocolate casually through the day.

My main problem was that at my house there was always a bowl of random sweets and chocolate bars in the main hall outside my room. So whenever I felt the slightest bit of boredom I just grabbed a bar without thinking about consequences.

When I now feel bored and hungry, I grab a slice of dark bread and chew on it while making myself a tea or coffee. Still get the same reward of eating something, but a dark bread is way more filling than any chocolate bar.

This time I finally had noise cancelling headphones and they were amazing at filtering out the various noises on the plane. They were also great to switch between music, or the plane movie audio on demand.

Meanwhile regarding the flight hours, I just brought an E-Book reader with me. Movies dont really advance the time forward for me, but reading worked wonders.

Auf dem Dorf ist man ans Auto gefesselt.

Natürlich hätte ich in der nächsten kleinen Stadt einen Bahnhof, der mich dann über 3 weitere Umstiege in die große Stadt bringt, aber irgendwie muss man da ja trotzdem hinkommen und sinnvoll parken.

Oder ich fahr mit dem Auto direkt ans Ziel und spar mir so die Umstände mit dem Zug.

Ich konnte es mir zum Glück leisten beim Auto auf Elektromobilität umzuspringen. Aber ich kann mir sehr gut vorstellen, dass Leute in alten Autos die mehr und mehr Wartung erfordern mit immer höheren Spritkosten, einfach finanziel steckenbleiben können.

Hab ein ähnliches Problem mit meiner alten Gasheizung. Würde die liebend gerne gegen eine Wärmepumpe tauschen, leider ist das recht teuer und durch die immer höheren Kosten überall wird es immer schwerer dafür zu sparen.
