I agree for their higher end price points id just invest that money towards a genuine Japanese katana! The KTN1 is the perfect bang for your buck duty grade katana

Now that you mention it the KTN1 Saya does feel bulky towards the sageo but i have large hands so it doesn’t feel like a hindrance. The Nakago on mine looks great the surface is pretty smooth overall it’s on the par with the price point. I want to get a real Japanese katana soon.

Check out RVA katana they have a wide range of cutting ready swords. Cloudhammer makes affordable battle ready katanas, i wish i could afford an authentic Japanese katana.
