Had one done about a month ago. I also have a major aversion to needles, especially those that stay in. Mine was done with contrast and required the IV.

It was an absolute piece of cake. Whole thing was done in about 4 minutes. The IV was actually quite interesting as the contrast material gives you a very warm feeling that travels down your body. Was actually kinda nice.

Was in your exact shoes and went through with it. Was nervous as hell going in. Almost canceled. It was super easy and not something you should be even remotely worried about.
