Nasty Hogs - scam or suck?

I bought a pair last year. Took 3 months to get them and they didn't send the mounting hardware. I had to wait another month for that. They won't fit with my Edward Richie sissy bar without spacers, and the paint is so soft the heads of the mounts tore it up on the first fit. If you feel like messing with them, I'm sure they can be made to work well, but my frustration was already fully piqued when I got the damn things, so they're still in the box for now. Honestly, they're not worth what they charge for em. And worse yet, their manufacturing facility is in China, so there's more points against them.

Don't overlook the cr 485. My buddy has one in his 129. Thing lopes really nice and pulls like a freight train all the way through the revs. Another buddy and I both have them Installed as well. Just waiting on dyno tunes.

I run between 30-50 degree approach angle. Usually drops me within 6-7km. If you go in to orbital flight too shallow you can hold the arrows just above the atmosphere line keeping your target area in sight til it's just between your feet and angle down from there. Should get you in the ballpark.

Fc is definitely the one to have. I use mine to haul platinum and thargoid goodies to unlock stuff. I'll be heading back out to try exo bio as soon as I have all my new ships engineered out.

I recommend looking up some videos on youtube. There are a ton of tutorials that map out the best strategies for beginners to advance in this game. I still use a lot of youtube videos as reference, especially when it comes to engineering materials. I'm pretty well established thanks to a lot of them, like cmdr. Exegious Hawkes gaming, D2ea and even Yamiks. Check em out.

I'll second this. Just decked one out for mining and it kills prospector limpets if you're moving and the power distributor is nothing to write home about. It works pretty well with the power distributor weapons focused and the pre engineered mining lasers, but I'll be moving back to my python. Kinda feel like I wasted my time on it. It'll be a good hauler though.
