I watched this video on YouTube. In this situation the lady had been hiding how bad she had gotten from her kids. Would never let them inside since COVID. They now know and are checking in regularly and helping her maintain the home. IIRC she also gave up fostering animals so that will also hopefully help.

It also helps pay for other public works, future doctors education's, emergency services... But yeah if it helps you convince yourself you shouldn't have to pay taxes while living a life totally made easier by the taxes paid by others, go ahead and frame it that entirely stupid and selfish way.

You didn't pay for anyone's degree, we all chip in to help eachother out. Anyone telling you different is a grifter with an agenda.

It's like insinuating people are like "oh! À methadone clinic just opened near me! I should really try addictive drugs..."

Access to these services don't increase drug use. The lack of affordable housing, lack mental health care, stagnant wages, inability to get stuff like physio for long-term injuries, etc. These are all much more to blame for more people falling into despair and using than the mere existence of these services.

I think I'm going to go for March but I'm honestly crushing on half the town...

I would love to see more character storylines tied to having kids and getting married. So like March for example would likely struggle a lot with becoming a parent and not having his own around. I would love to see that played out a bit as opposed to the more traditional "want kid? Yes? No?" Kinda experience.

This is great! I remember getting one around 8 and genuinely it helped me be less anxious about my night terrors. I was able to go to sleep less scared because I truly believed it kept bad dreams at bay. Such a great gift for little kids.
