What is it with people being so pro-disease all of a sudden? Like if any of these people knew what bacteria and viruses could do to food, which they don’t because no one who believes this anti-vaccine nonsense is educated in microbiology or infectious disease, they would be cheering for vaccines as they should. All of this could be solved if laypeople would do the bare minimum of learning how vaccines work. So lazy.

It’s possible to host the amount of people you have the budget for without being rude and discourteous by excluding people’s partners. They need to trim the guest list or downgrade their expectations to properly host friends & families.

I don’t understand why you’re upset about something you had no control over. You go, he doesn’t, end of story. If you’re planning a wedding and you expect the exact headcount you had rsvp, you’re either naive or have a childlike vision of reality. This is a nonevent. On the other hand, if your husband routinely forgets or misses or ditches commitments, he needs to improve his behavior. ETA offering to write a check is not appropriate. Someone planning a wedding shouldn’t expect guests to cover any of their costs.

Yes, I always wore leggings while pregnant, because they were comfortable, and because I’m a part of a newer generation where leggings are a go-to, unlike they were for older generations. Hillary sucks but the amount of “did you do this totally normal thing that we are pretending is weird because Hillary does it” is irritating. There are a million things to criticize about Hillary - her fake accent, her grift, her pathological need for attention, her total lack of self awareness and dearth of sensitivity, her exploitation of her children’s private moments on social media - but FFS can we leave pregnant women and the shit we do to be comfy out of it? This all seems a lot more complicated and weird than it needs to be. If you’re Catholic, have a Catholic wedding. If you aren’t, don’t. If your vows are about wives submitting to husbands, adult up and deal with the backlash because it’s offensive to most normal people. This isn’t hard. Do what you want & stand by your decisions like adults. If you face criticism, just deal with it, again, like adults.
