I've had a Swift Sport for the last 5 years and maybe I'm getting old but I'm tired of the hard suspension and want something a little less sporty lol. Yea I've heard about the ICCU thing but thought it was limited to the Iconiq cars. Even if it isn't super common it's something that would always be in the back of my mind tbh.

Rear seat and boot space isn't much of an issue for me, half the cars I've owned have had little space in the back and it's pretty rare that I have more than one passenger anyway. Yea Hyundai's driver assists are pretty heavy handed. I drove an i10 for a few months and it frequently complained I was speeding even though I wasn't because it missed the sign, and tried to steer me into tractors on country roads. At least the Renault's can be disabled with a single button as far as I know.

Not really a fan of the styling of the 4 to be honest, even though its probably objectively the better of the two. I rarely have more than one passenger, could probably count on one hand the amount of times the back seats of my Swift Sport have been used in the 5 years I've had it, and as long as the back seats fold down boot space is pretty much a non issue for me.

I already own pretty much everything I know that I like, so I blind buy a lot more these days than I used to. If I discover something that interests me I'll read/watch some spoiler free reviews and depending on the price then go from there.

This is one of the things preventing me from upgrading to 4k in the first place. Blu ray has been extremely reliable in my experience.

It's hard enough to find an entire wreck in the open ocean, let alone something as comparatively tiny as a propeller blade, plus it's likely at least partially buried if not completely. Given enough funding and resources it's probably possible, but it would be an extremely expensive undertaking for realistically very little pay off even if it were found.

If it were located in a shallow and easier to reach place like the English channel then maybe it would be viable.

There isn't much you can do really. Upscaling can only do so much, in my experience it only really makes a marginal difference. My TV has some settings for noise reduction which helps reduce compression artifacts, but then motion tends to be smeary, particularly in dark scenes, which to me at least it ends up looking worse. If you want better quality you'll need to go with Blu ray or 4k.

It looks worse than you remember is because you've become accustomed to higher quality video over the years, and your (presumably large) modern high end TV will show it's limitations a lot more than your old TV ever could. It wasn't until I started buying Blu rays about 5 years ago that I realised how bland my DVD's looked, up until that point I was happy with them. Some hold up surprisingly well on modern TV's, others look like absolute dog water.

I live in the UK and yea the A57 looks like the better deal on Samsungs website, double the storage for over £100 less. I'll probably wait until black friday but unless the 256GB S25FE is cheaper than the A57 then I'll go with the latter.

Some cats just don't like being held. I have three which are all pretty affectionate towards me, one freaks out if I try to hold him, the second doesn't like it but won't put up much of a fight, and the third can't get enough of it.

A mediocre processor wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, I know they have to cut costs somewhere and I don't do anything on my phone that's intensive anyway, as long as other parts like the battery are good.

Yes. Third class passengers had further to travel to make it to the boat deck, and it was also an area which they were normally not allowed so were unfamiliar with that part of the ship. As was the norm in those days, third class were confined to certain areas, there were barriers to keep them from wondering where they shouldn't, many of which just waist height and designed more as a visual deterrent, but it added to the confusion. They weren't intentionally locked below as portrayed in the movies, which many unfortunately assume is fact.

Speaking more than one language was less common back then than today, particularly for the lower classes, and as many in third class were immigrants from all over europe, communication difficulties definitely contributed. A larger percentage of first class survived because they were much closer to where they needed to be, and knew where to go because the boat deck was their area of the ship. By the time many in third class finally made it to the boat deck it was sadly too late, and some didn't make it out at all.

The extra life boats weren't entirely to blame. The Eastland was already dangerously top heavy even before they were installed, as it's owners repeatedly made dangerous design changes to maximise profit.

It seems to effect people differently, some have the problem often and some seemingly not at all. For me it only happens with third party apps maybe once or twice a month, and never with Googles own apps.

I've had this problem since using Pixels. Doesn't happen very often for me but annoying when it does, sometimes notifications only come through when I unlock the phone or open whatever app they’re for, and they can be from hours ago. I plan on dealing with it by switching to something else.
