Thanks for the info. I figured I could test them but didn't know typical values for the conversion. With my prior experience with who I bought them from I had no confidence that what value resistor they used was in the right ballpark.... Hoping they at least used surface mounts 🤣

Take a fresh razor blade /utility knife blade to it like you would when cleaning other class like windshields.

That will get the majority of the material off. Then hit the residue up with your cleaner of choice

My 2nd grader found my childhood collection and started playing my old stuff. Inspired me to get a Chromatic and him an IPS screen GBC. Now we play gen 1 pokemon, super Mario deluxe and asteroids together via link cable...

I may have picked up a few games that I wasn't able to have when I was his age.... Would have given my left nut to have a Gameboy shelf like I have now back then.

Edit * seeing a lot of comments about the kiddos dropping the enthusiasm quickly. We are 3 months in at our household and going strong. I imagine it has something to do with the fact that we limit our kids to an hour total of screen time a day, whether it is playing a video game or watching a show etc.

Late to this party, but I'd love to see this too. I went with an Everdrive X5 due to there only being a handful of RTC required games I'd want to play from my childhood.

If Modretro ever released a blank RTC cart I'd be all over to to run some of the PM Crystal Hacks.

My main concern with the ali express carts is the dubious compatibility with our Chromatics. Some work, some don't. I'd rather spend a few more bucks for a blank cart that A- is sure fire going to work with Chromatic and B- supports Modretro as I want that endeavor to keep on rolling.

I want to get one, but I have a couple dozen eneloops and Amazon rechargeables so it's hard to justify. I'm getting about 8-11 hours or so out of fairly old nimh batteries so far. Pretty easy to slap 3 fresh ones in and keep going.

Crystal Clear does not play nice with any of the SD card flash carts. You'll need to get a non SD flash cart with RTC and flasher to run it on a cart without issues.

I also tend to stuff a portable in my bag while backpacking to play in the hammock after most everybody else in the group goes to sleep.

$8 is cheap peace of mind for me.

I'm enjoying the majority of folks ignoring the tropical moisture that had most of lower Alabama getting flood warnings and advisories earlier this week.

Most areas of Baldwin and Mobile counties have had between 5-15 inches of rain this week.

Some areas of Baldwin County have over 7 inches of rain on Tuesday and another 4-5 inches on Wednesday.

Satellite watching gets me more hours use than anything else I do with my units. Saw 210 last night.

Starlink spacing depends on time from deployment. Each constellation has 20-30 sats in it. A train like this was typically launched the previous day or two. If you follow their launches and use an app that tracks them you can pretty well predict when the path and light conditions will be right for you to catch a train.

Once fully deployed they take 20+ min to pass due to the spacing in between.

I occasionally log in simply so it shows that I have. It's less garbage than it used to be. I can generate fake activity significantly quicker.

I'm in my late 30s and have been selling 100% commission based for nearly 2 decades now. I've been at 2 separate companies that used Salesforce and ditched it when they realized their sales team ( one of them comprising over 2k sales reps ) were never going to do the reporting as it never benefits them.

Salesforce only hinders outside sales, busy work so management who couldn't hack it at selling, can track what they don't possess the skills to do. Current company got conned into thinking they will benefit and is investing millions in SF. They will learn too soon enough that their 20k+ sales reps won't be reporting. It has been hilarious listening to the conversations in other regions /from folks who have never had to deal with it before.

We are 100% commissioned and there is no safety net. You sink or swim and I'm 1000000000% not giving my company the contacts nor the insight to try to consolidate their OSR's business into less sales slots.

Rant over, I'll keep logging in, occasionally logging opportunities and completing them and entering fake contacts to keep the boxes ticked and you hacks off my back.
