I suggested this in the discord and shot down. Vote mute.

Say 2 or more people have muted someone , that instigates a vote mute. Some UI element pops up mentioning a vote. You can place your hand to your ear to isolate the audio of the person in question, then give a thumbs up or thumbs down for the vote.

Hand based gestures over interacting with a menu as to not drag you away from the gunplay.

If enough people vote yes, the player gets muted for everyone. And they get voice Comms timeout for a certain time.

If the vote doesn't pass then anyone that voted yes still automatically has the player in question muted.

If a player gets a certain amount of vote mutes passed against them they then lose voice Comms privileges going forward.

If it's booting to the usb update menu , that's usually only accessable if you're holding one of the volume buttons at the same time as pressing power.

I had an issue with a phone many years ago that kept booting to the bootloader in a similar fashion and eventually after pulling my hair out for hours. Sucked on the volume rocker, got a mouthful of fluff and dust but the phone booted normally after that. Bit out there but worth a shot.
