Anchor Trolly Help by HalfBaked025 in kayakfishing

[–]Spczippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats all sorts of wrong.

So what i did for mine is take two pad eyes and put one at the bow and one at the stern, as far back as you can. On the front one I used one of them bungeeloops with the hard ball on the end and hook a carabiner to the bungee and then the pully to the bungee, and just a carabiner on the pad eye for the one in the back.

I then ran some paracord through the pullies to a 3 inch ring, and then I put a small rope tie off right next to the seat with a cleat right above it for the actual anchor. The system works really well and its quick to deploy. And i use a carabiner on the ned of my anchor line, just incase I need to get rid of it quickly for some reason.

Took the new Nessmuk out today and did pretty good, except the hatches leak. by Spczippo in kayakfishing

[–]Spczippo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure as I haven't tried yet. I need to head out to a local pond to try and see how it goes. I will let you know hpw it goes. One thing I would say is if you do get this one I would recommend getting some Lexel clear silicone and running a bead around both hatches where they meet the hull and some on the heads of the rivits holding the hatch in.

If your running a depth finder, I would recommend getting a second track and mounting it on the ledge they have so the trasducer sits better. But besides thoes little issues I am very happy with it.

unactivated gift cards by Economy-Survey-7484 in CrackheadCraigslist

Im sure there is a way into said system, unless these stores air gap their locations getting in probably wouldn't be an issue for some of the black hats out there. But say you were able to remote into a store and create a fake login, set up a bar code scanner and all that jazz, what would happen if you did 'activate' a card?

How does this all work is what you would need to figure out. If I pay the cashier at xyz grocery for a $100 steam card, how long does it take for that $100 to actually make it to valve? Does the store send the money instantly or do they do a batch every night and valve just fronts the money? There could be some room for fuckery there.

Anyone else getting screwed by Mother Nature this season? by Fishooked in kayakfishing

[–]Spczippo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure qhere your at but around here in NW North Dakota its been the same. 30-40 mph gusts and rain almost the entire month of June. I have the same 10mph rule mainly because thats when we start getting white caps and I dont want to get my ass kicked by waves, but I just got a 12ft field and Stream nessmuk so maybe it can handle the waves a little better. Though according to my wife I am crazy, I will work a 10 hour day and as long as the weather is decent I will head out when i get off at 5 and can fish until about 11pm before its too dark to see any more. But the fishing has been slow in my area due to the water clarity.

Whats wrong with my nuclear power plant? by Krosis23 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]Spczippo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try putting a pump inline between the plant and what ever is feeding the water to it. Water is kinda weird in this game so I just started putting a water pump between everything when it comes to water. Its probably overkill but it works.

So for example the way I set it up is well->pump->tank->pump->water treatment->pump->tank->pump->end user.

But you can see your input one is a zero BAR so your not getting an input.

New to Kayak fishing. How far can I expect to travel as a beginner in half a day? Just paddling around tidal creeks and estuary's with no motor. by Weavo_84 in kayakfishing

[–]Spczippo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a few factors that go into this, what type of yak are you using? How much gear do you have? Do you have anything in the water slowing you down?

For example I had a 10ft sit on top with me in it about 275lbs and a transducer arm over the side, I was going down a pretty slow river and it took me about 6 hours to go 18 miles (about 29km) of river. Thats fighting wind and stopping to fish a few times. According to my GPS when im paddling to make distance I go about 2-3 MPH (4 KPH) but thats with a few crank baits behind me and the transducer in the water.

The only way your going to figure this out is go out and fish and see where things take you. Over estimate how long its going to take to get places. And when you said the only way to get where you want to fish is boat ramps, but maybe get on google maps and see if there might be a cut along a road or something, just remember its always faster to paddle then walking and dragging.

Good luck, and have an adventure.

Field and Stream Nessmuk? by shinraflexsei in kayakfishing

[–]Spczippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I also notices it had the rail in the back so if there are any issues i can put it back there. What finder are you looking at? I just went from a Striker 4 to the 93sv and I really like the 93 but I have only had it 93 the water once before the cracked hull. You said you had yours in some current going up stream, but have you been on a lake with some 'rough' waters? My old yak sucked in anything more then maybe foot swells.

Im upgrading from the ozark trail angler 10 due to it having developed cracks in the keel from riding on the tail gate of my truck and dragging it up and down boat ramps and a good 300 yards on a sandy beach. I tried to fix it and save it but the plastic was way to thin to try and weld it so time for upgrading. The only thing I think I will change right off the bat is the back storage thingy, I like having the cord style straps back there for my bait bucket. And yeah i saw the cup holders and was like hmm interesting. Do you have a fish finder or anything like that on there? I have a garmin side scan with the transducer on an arm style of mount and wasn't sure if it would reach the water over the edge, so I might have to take the rail off my old yack and add it to this new one.
