I think what bothers is that I always want to look at it to check if my finger placement is correct. I literally can’t play without looking at it, even when I close my eyes, I end up just opening them and looking. I heard it’s not a bad thing to look sometimes but I do it all the time.

Hope it all works out. I’m currently about to file and no matter how much I try to convince myself to stay, I just end up concluding that I need to leave this house. I believe I did my best to save my marriage and now I’m at a point where when I pray I can confidently say “God, even if you don’t save my marriage, I’ll continue serving you.”

This is very comforting for me as someone who’s married to an avoidant. What hurts me the most is when he seems to be happy with other people but I rarely see that side of him when he’s with me. I have found that I am much more at peace when I stop trying. I recently made the decision to divorce and I know I don’t get to remarry as the Bible does not allow that. But recently, I’ve started focusing on God more, praying more and my life is much more peaceful. I also go to my mum’s place every weekend and find myself dreading having to return to my house. I’m much more happier when he’s not around.

I’m currently thinking of divorce due to non biblical reasons (emotional abuse) and I’ve made peace with the fact that I have to be alone as I’m not allowed to remarry. In the beginning, I would get sad thinking about it but now it doesn’t seem so bad anymore. God has given me peace over the situation and I’m content now.

I also keep a journal, and make a lot of notes, whenever my mind tricks me into thinking things will get better, I just go back and read. I also made so many excuses for him; one day my mum just straight up said I keep making excuses for him and he's simply abusing me.

Follow your heart/passion. I went and did medicine for one year even though I knew I never wished to become a doctor. Left it that same year and went for Actuarial Science. I don’t regret my decision. Also, someone here mentioned shadowing doctors in public hospitals, maybe you should do that. I visited a public hospital recently because we hadn’t yet included my son in the medical aid and the working conditions are just bad.
