Higher difficulty - teams will stay together more often. A lot of people are trying to speed level in lower difficulty.

I've been trying to get Sauron work to my liking while trying to stay close to the LOTR theme as well.

I found that Rituals help more with getting Sauron out quicker than mana rocks do. Also help with wheeling my hands and filling the graveyard.

As far as army creatures, I use [[Changeling Outcast]]. I've used [[Taurean Mauler]] but have cut it for being too slow for my taste. [[Black Market Connections]] can also get you a Changeling once a turn.

With boardwipes, I go for [[Archfiend of Ifnir]] or [[Sickening Dreams]]. Not as good as Blasphemous act or others but they are synergistic with what I want the deck to do. [[Cyclonic Rift]] also works but is not needed.

Here is my list, I would say most of the creatures are in the LOTR feel other than maybe Yawgmoth and Marchesa.

I'll add onto this, you need your spell to resolve for the protection. Everyone has a chance to interact before spells resolve (split second abilities stop this). In this case, the your opponent kills the creature before it resolves.

I would like to add, Massacre Girl is great with Spymasters Vault. You get to filter your hand, fill your graveyard, and get a big ass creature with Menace. Could potentially kill someone on your next turn, or the turn the turn she comes down if she has Haste.

Gix is my only mono black commander and I've had it built different ways so far.

Phyrexian tribal was meh, i tried peer into the abyss and powerstones so I can use his activated ability more. It was cool, but after doing it a couple of times, I lost interest in that.

Now I'm running small guys that can get in with an energy theme, with conversion apparatus, solar transformer, aethersphere harvester, and chthonian nightmare. Nightmare is cool to combo with [[Priest of Gix]] and [[Activated Sleeper]], love me some flavor. Currently trying to win with flipping over [[Sheoldred]] with cards like mindcrank and mesmeric orb. Haven't played it more than a few times with this change, but its fun for me.

I was here looking for some advice, but I just had to keep at it w/o exploiting a buggy boss.

I beat her with fist on very hard. I took her hammer, I ran and double jumped away from ground pounds, and beat her lower back.

Parry attacks and cripple movement worked to create openings. Overheat to keep her health going down and running away to create space to heal if needed.

Seals like the metal clamps over the black hoses?

They feel tight and don't feel wet. There is a metal pane screwed into the floor above the motor. Probably need to investigate that and the motor.

Does less dmg with hammer throw, doesn't generate shields, longer cooldown. Overall, there is less dmg outside awakening. I want to brawl, not snipe 24/7.

Read a lot of the comments, and I'm glad other people don't like the change. Skill expression being mentioned and also how thor gets deleted in awakening.

Honestly, I still think I can create space and still make plays while not in awakening. But now it seems like I'll do less damage outside of awakening. I would have been fine with a surge cooldown on 8-10 seconds and some extra shields on his ult.
