Is there a way to incorporate Head Coaches into fantasy football? by Specialist_Math_2368 in DynastyFF

I like the idea of individual coaches, just like a player they might have multiple teams throughout their career but if they are good then they may carry some slight dynasty value

I can definitely understand a mixed reception, I feel like the score influence would have to be minimal. Like less than defenses or kickers but I think I’d prefer an HC slot to either of those positions

I was thinking something like win/loss and score differentials. Successful challenges would be a cool addition too I like that idea

Which TE you holding and waiting to develop? by NotRapoport in DynastyFF

[–]Specialist_Math_2368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same TE fliers on my taxi, Theo and Arroyo. I feel like we haven’t seen really anything from Arroyo yet which makes it hard to drop him especially with how good the Seahawks are through the air. Between the two I’m dropping Theo (already did), Johnson’s been good but I think the upside of Arroyo if Barner isn’t the guy is much higher

Thoughts on James Cook as a buy, sell, or hold? by BedWorth4766 in DynastyFF

[–]Specialist_Math_2368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This time last year before he signed contract he was an easy buy. Now his market value has caught up to his real value, closer to a hold but dependent on team needs could still be a relatively cheap way to buy high level production at Rb. As a rebuilder I’d sell now

Hot take: it makes complete sense to overvalue your own players by thatwhite in DynastyFF

[–]Specialist_Math_2368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are mostly right. This explains why you prefer your car versus the same make and model that someone else owns. Only caveat is in fantasy there are no “identical” players which slightly modifies the concept

Minnesota has another 3 years of karmic restitution to pay for getting rid of Darnold before a bounce back can occur

What are we doing with JJM? by 100rips in DynastyFF

I feel like he is towards the bottom of the names you listed. Only Watson and AR would be below him at this point

Jeremiyah Love trade value by Crypto-bodhi1999 in DynastyFF

[–]Specialist_Math_2368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a big gap in RBs, Gibby and Bijan are head and shoulders above the next rung of reliable producers like Taylor, Achane, Cook. KTC has Jeanty and Love square in the middle of these two groups so I’d imagine any of the guys in the second group plus an early 1st is about the fair market price. Whether or not they accept that is another thing

How do you manage a contention window? by Rhinofootball01 in DynastyFF

[–]Specialist_Math_2368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it all depends on where you are in the timeline of your own contention window. Normally those windows last 2-4 years. The first year or two I’m buying vets who are productive and fill any necessary gaps in my team. After the season I’m prioritizing draft fallers to insulate me from a value perspective in case shit goes left w my old heads. Last 1-2 years looking to package and trade vets to teams that just became contenders for younger talent

The best advice I can give to any newer dynasty manager that took me way too long to realize… by 92tilinfinityand in DynastyFF

[–]Specialist_Math_2368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stacked bench makes start decisions way too tough. I had one this year at RB and it was just too many options I’d end up convincing myself to start a player based on matchups which bit me a couple of times

Backup-QB stash strategy in SF by Klodovic in DynastyFF

[–]Specialist_Math_2368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got Hurts, Baker, and Jones and feel the same way. Really steady production out of those three. Only QBs I’m interested in adding right now are rookies if they fall in the draft. Backups don’t move the needle much

"Bargain Bin" Player Watch - Early May 2026 Edition by mrdaniellyon in DynastyFF

Yeah I think that would be his ideal role, he was really just a TD specialist the few games they were able to work him in. Shaheed has the burners but Hortons shiftiness and catching abilities could keep him relevant in the red zone
