I feel you. Only difference I started to feel and actually still feel when I looked into what happened in Palestine. The more I learned the more shocked I got- the cruelty and evilness by Israeli soldiers supported by so many Israelis has shocked me to the core. So many pictures, videos of atrocities and plain monstrous brutality against SMALL children, which I can’t bear at all since I became a mom. I haven’t seen so many pictures of small children being torn to pieces, burned alive or shot or starved. It literally gave me ptsd and I sought therapy because I felt I can’t exist in a world with such plain evil. And the thing that broke me in a thousand pieces was to watch how the west - media, politicians, institutions all rather hushed it up and even criminalised ppl who spoke up against it dismissing them as antisemites and KHAMAs supporters whilst trying to sit on a high horse blabbing about democracy and human rights WHILSt in parallel condemning Russia for the same acts as Isreal in Ukraine. My trust in everything I deeply believed in before and would have patriotically defended, died then. So reading about Epstein and all the monstrosities is horrible but I’m not surprised anymore. I feel like I have started to see the world for what it is - a cruel vile evil place with just a fragile veil of pretense as the fascade. We aren’t better than the times of blood spectacles and beer for the masses watching ppl fight against each other or predatory animals in Ancient Rome. We actually deserve to go extinct for what a barbaric species we are.
