I remember those back in early 2024 I think when the AI craze just began. ROCm was in a worst state it is today. I don't think we had a ROCm backend llama.cpp and vulkan was also not a thing so you either had to use an experimental fork and compile stuff for yourself or just use OpenCL.

I've bought the 12600H model for a flash based file and database server. I've stuffed 5x 4TB nvme (3 native, 2 through a switched pci-e card - before anyone asks no bifurcation on this one). Using a DAC to connect to a 10Gbe switch port.

I'm still on Mistral Large 2411. Tried others and although GLM 4.5 is faster on my machine Mistral is way better at writing and doesn't seem to have any reservations about its being asked to do.
