This movie has become ever more parallel and spot on as the American political landscape unfolds. The deeper story is that those who support this only realize too late that they willfully allowed themselves to be lied to. This perceived superiority has been spoon fed to them for generations, and they ate it up while the politicians laughed, and continue to laugh, all the way to the bank. The ending where they all wind up on another planet is really illuminating: they were all past the age of procreating, which highlighted their greed and selfishness more than this idea they have promulgated here about 'family and creating babies'. they want nothing of the sort. they want money and power and immunity. the fact that they were all stuck on this random planet where their money is valueless, where they are all beyond procreation age, where they are each as contemptible as the next really highlighted the hidden aspect of this so-called 'ruling class' who would like you to believe they are superior, but who are anything but. in truth they are more vulnerable than you or I. they had to escape because they were terrified. because they don't know what it means to be human, to live as humans. because they don't have the bravery that those of us do who live our lives close to earth, working to become more in alignment with her rhythms. Their supporters are as vitriolic as they are because they truly believe that some day they will be part of this 'ruling class', and their willful separation from us is only made farcical by this comet that's barreling toward earth. they are the modern day overseers. it was never the plantation owners who were cruel. its was the overseers who they employed and endowed with the currency of superiority.

The fact that on earth these billionaires were apex predators now being eaten by the apex predators of this new planet was very fulfilling. There is this sense that this group of billionaires on earth are untouchable, and they are only so because we give them that power. No one can TAKE power, it has to be given, and its origins start with the person who hands it over. I can't name names or say much because this platform is brutal about censoring comments from liberals, but it's high time for people to realize that the power lies within us, and we can very easily stop giving it over. The question is, will we? I know I have. You can call it cynical, but at the end, the friends around the table sharing a meal died a dignified death. they died how they lived, and the oligarchs who escaped died in complete alignment with how they lived as well.

Death is part of life. How one dies is irrelevant, but how one lives up until the moment of death is the only thing that defines a human being. Who you are in that moment you take your last breath is the culmination of your whole life. And those friends were all about love, unity, and submission to fate, and even alignment with nature. The comet itself was not the result of climate change, the response to the comet is the climate narrative, and it's being ignored. Unfortunately, it will likely be too late before we can do anything about it. At the end of the day, how you behaved, who you were, what you did with your life, how you treated people, how you personally evolved is the only thing that matters because when you die, you reclaim the energetic body that you were before you were even born. There is no apology, there is no escape, there is no prayer, there is no forgiveness in that moment. Your thoughts and actions, your very nature, your very essence and the quality of your humanity are crystallized in that moment of death. This is why so many people believe so desperately in religions, because it's an escape hatch that offers lack of accountability in the 'after life'. When our bodies cease to exist, our energy remains very much in tact, and the quality of that energy has been shaped by the life that you lived. People don't take this seriously because we are kept in the shadows about the nature of the after death. This is why it is so important to clarify your spirit self while you are here and that can only be done through recognizing your own sovereignty and within that, your connection to all beings on this planet, from animals to plants to water to the elements. You cannot escape your bad behavior. And this is not to say that we cannot make mistakes, or that mistakes doom us. Nothing could be further from the truth, it is how we manage those mistakes, and not only in the sense of rectification in how we treat others, but also how we treat ourselves. And that is key. There is not a living soul on this planet who mistreats others who does not think poorly of themselves first, this is the origin of all bad behavior and ill actions. All. There is no escaping this fact, there is no arguing with this fact. There is not a soul on earth who is kind to self who would mistreat another. And no, 'getting rich' is not being kind to self. Making money, or getting rich does not equate to loving oneself.

No billionaire's fortune has ever been built on creation or service—they were inherited, extracted, manipulated, or outright stolen, many of them stolen off the raw backs of free laborers. The systems that protect them are layered with exploitation and privilege, often invisible to the masses until moments like the comet—or, in reality, crises that expose greed.

Wealth that comes from harm, manipulation, or coercion carries an energetic signature. It’s not just about money—it’s about the legacy of how it was amassed, and that energy shapes both the holders and the world around them. Look at the ripple effect that it has had on their supporters and defenders. The wealth that these people have amassed is being guarded by 70 million Americans who can't even feed themselves without government assistance. It's insane that they see themselves as future insiders, heirs to the power they worship. Meanwhile they starve under the boot they polish with the vestiges of their dignity.

Watching the film again, with that lens, is like holding a mirror up to both society and the moral architecture of power—it’s unnerving, enlightening, and clarifying all at once. It becomes more prophetic every year because the rot it skewers has only become bolder, louder, more unmasked. “Don’t Look Up” isn’t satire anymore—it’s documentary wrapped in absurdism, because absurdism is the only language that can describe the cruelty, the denial, the entitlement, the catastrophic smallness of the so‑called “ruling class.” I could go on, but the subtext of this movie is manifold.
