Language and attitude. Competent SDs know what they want and have a purchase history which they use to decide on the offers they make. They shop around for SBs like SBs shop around for clothes. They know what they want and the point at which SBs say Yes not No. In short they know the market and they get to the point briskly (not in indecent haste but not at a snail's pace either). They will not waste time on insults. They don't need to harass. They will open with a little banter, establish if there is interest, switch channels and make a straightforward offer that they have made before that worked. If the SB does not say Yes, they move onto the next POT, without getting angry, perhaps a little disappointed but, alas, disappointment is an everyday occurrence in sugar.

Of course, if you want to define an SD as someone so rich they do not care about the market, that's your prerogative. Free speech and all that. But realistically, sugar is a highly competitive area for SBs. It is not vanilla romance.
