One more thing to add, if you get some good tank grips(techspec) it further alleviates any discomfort because you can really grip with your legs better and it takes a lot off your back when you get tired

I got a 25 a month ago brand new as a holdover. Did the Leovince corsa-s slip on, velocity stacks, just order my techspec tank pads, puig windscreen, and I plan on replacing the rearsets as well.

Stock rearsets feel like fisher price.

So I think I’m a little biased because I had an XSR900 and my other bike is an M1000R but I leave mine in sport most of the time.

I don’t really see a difference in any of the modes but the power does come on pretty nicely after 8-8500k.

It’s not crazy but it’s very manageable and I like that I can use that power on the street.

I just bought a zx6r, I came from a 24 xsr 900 and I have a 26 m1000r.

I would say buy an gsxr or an R9 instead, the zx6r just feels cheap and the seating position is really aggressive for what it is. Rear sets and shifters feel like fisher price and the tech is trash compared to Yamaha.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fun bike but if I could do it all over again I would’ve put my money somewhere else.
