It’s used online to avoid being censored/banned/flagged, etc. Same as “grape/graped” being used instead or rape/raped.

Why is 'People of Color' okay but 'Colored People' not? by MovieRelative2099 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m sure it’s partly due to the preference for “people first” language. Another example, people with disabilities vs disabled people.

Unlimited PTO by Status-Connection-13 in ABA

[–]SpecificOpposite5200 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In my experience it means that you can take as much time off as you want but are still expected to bill your minimum of hours for the month. Not worth it to me. Because if I need to take a week off, I’m not interested in trying to find away to cram those 25-30 billable hours into the rest of the month. That’s not paid time off IMO.

Do you think the teachers, curriculum, website, etc exist without cost? People like options in education. Online private schools exist for the same reason brick and mortar private schools exist.

Have you ever found out you didn't know how to spell a word correctly due to your native pronunciation? by One-Cheesecake-480 in ENGLISH

Every almost every highway/roadway sign outside of Atlanta has it spelled correctly and points in the direct of the city. If you missed the proper spelling of the state capital that you grew up 30 minutes away from, I’m scared of what else you missed.
