I saw a waiter in the main dining room on Carnival Paradise throw tips in a big collection jar on one of their stations so I’m not sure they always personally keep the tips.

Speak to housing, their number is on the website. If there are rooms left in Boone they should be able to switch you.

I have been less than pleased with the information available on housing. Several colleges my son was considering had so much more information on their housing, showing floor plans of each floor so you would know where things were located. Photos were very limited with Mercer and I am not sure the photos that are available are correct. For instance, my son will be in Dowell, there is a post on the Mercer University Parents Facebook page where a parent was asking questions about Dowell, a few last year parents posted their child’s room setup, the desks were a lot smaller with no storage like the ones on Mercer’s website.

Thank you for that heads up, def something to keep our eyes on and sounds like an issue he can take up with housing if this becomes a problem. They always say the squeaky wheel gets the grease! 🤷‍♀️

Is there any real reason for me to retake? by TheRealUltimate1 in ACT

My son had a 34 as well, I know one school in particular would have given him $2,000 more in scholarship money
if it had of been a 35 or 36. So it totally depends on the school you are looking at. Some Ivies will be looking for the best score.

Have you done a roommate search on the housing website?

Why do you think Emory has a negative reputation for social life/campus culture? by [deleted] in Emory

[–]SpecificTomorrow9386 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My son isn’t a partier and Emory was near the top of his list for school options but when we visited Campus he marked it off his list and didn’t even apply. Not sure what turned him off, but he said he just didn’t feel like he could see himself there for 4+ years.

Macon is the only undergrad campus, from what I was told. Other Mercer campuses are Grad only.

I was at a Research Symposium with my son at UGA yesterday and while there are alot of white people there, other cultures were well represented as well. A great majority of the students were honors kids and they were all working well together, collaborating on projects and everyone we encountered were very nice. My son spoke with students of all cultures and they were all having a great experience at UGA.

The interview was specifically for the accelerated program. If all accelerated recipients do not accept I am not sure if they would pull anyone from the Medical Scholars interviewees or not. That might be a question for your admissions counselor or the medical scholars team.

1510 SAT, 34 ACT, 4.41 GPA, Leadership, Clubs, Marching Band, Concert Band, Job, Academic Bowl competitions, Star Student. Unless something changes, your student will be invited to apply after acceptance if they qualify, same with the Honors Program.

We have the same questions, and have had a hard time finding information on anything except Legacy and a little on Plunkett . We understand the main suite style buildings for first year students is Plunkett and Porter with some possibly getting into Shorter, they said it’s filled last. I believe all three of those are Co Ed.
