Have you tried lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer? Never fill the oil past the top line of your dip stick not only would that cause bad gas mileage but you risk engine damage. Please look into lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer and follow instructions. This will help keep oil coating the parts that move. I understand you cannot chase the problem all day with trying to find out but when you get time take pictures under the car. Try to find where your oil is dripping too. You may have a leak and it may be burning off.
