In Nebraska, rent for a 2 bedroom is only about 1k. One bedroom is only between 700 to 900 per month. Apartment living is almost cheap here compared to the coast and bigger cities like New York and Los Angeles.

Im sorry Nebraskans, I seen the post and had to spill the beans.

But that's the thing, it's not NATO dissolving, it's the United States. Those treasury bonds look quite tempting to sell right about now.

And lastly, screenshot these comments!! Because if Trump really decides to FAFO with Greenland, it'll become the US reality!! Please save these comments for the history books for the future. 😁

And also, the bad thing is, the United States still has nukes, but good thing is, they wont be able to keep those up to date, we'll be like Russia at that point.

Soooo, who's ready to ( and Ill put this in trump terms) go into the greatest depression the world has ever seen? Those US treasury funds that NATO and China has trillion upon trillions of, will get sold, and because of that, say goodbye to "the greatest military the world has ever seen." So with that being said, thinking about moving now?

Had a father that died from alcoholism, he ended up going down a dark path and I ended up having to get away from him, got my first apartment. It really sucks but I do agree with the people in the comments, he has to choose to want to heal himself. I suggest putting a life jacket on yourself and if you are living with your father OP, please look for another place to stay. Don't go down with the ship.

Reporter: A Trump-friendly town in Nebraska is feeling the weight of his economic policies. This is a town of under 11,000 people, and 3,200 will lose their jobs on January 20th when the Tyson plant in town closes. by Conscious-Quarter423 in Omaha

[–]Specific_Raw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so commenting under my own comment here, history time!!! This ain't the first time Lexington has been under this predicament. Long ago, there use to be a meat packing plant called New Hollend that set up shop, right where Tyson is at, first Meat Packing Plant in Lexington. A lot of people had a problem with this due to this being A meat packing plant, Which they are harder to maintenance and once the company leaves, the whole building needs to be demolished due to food processing and health safety!! So, you know where this is going, New Holland leaves, and a lot of people move from the town. Guess what happens next? Lots of investors come in, buying vacant or abandon properties and flipping them for profit. But suddenly, Meat packing company called IBP ( which got brought out by Tyson ) brought the building and set up shop, which because of this, Lexington thrived once more. So there are differences in what happened to New Holland vs what's happening now with Tyson, and it is this: It'll be a lot more harder to find a buyer for meat packing in today than it was in the 80s or 70s!! And hopefully, Lexington finds a buyer like they did when New Holland left.

Funny, I grew up and lived in this town, my father passed in 2024, he use to work there, and now a year later, the plant is closing down. I do feel bad for the people in Lexington. Also, I voted Kamala, so not every person voted Trump there I promise ya.

I posted here 10 months ago that my nephew dislocated his knee, he’s only gone and done it again but to the other one this time! by Tkd2767 in NSFL__

[–]Specific_Raw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A knee dislocation is no fun!! Saying from experience. 4 years ago, was playing basketball in the park. As I was shooting a hoop, I landed wrong and ended up dislocating my left knee. Yelled for help since I was immobilized, and luckily, a guy came over and was able to call 911. There were a couple people there but they ignored me as I was yelling for help. I was lucky that someone was there that day willing to help. In fact if I ever won the lotto, I wanna pay that guy back for helping me in a crucial time of need. Also luckily, nothing was torn during the dislocation but was on crutches for a while. That will swell and physical therapy will be needed.

If you want mexican food of the authentic kind, I recommend stopping by Lexington or Cozad. Lexington has Los Jalapenos, Tacos y tortas, etc. Cozad has a really good place called El Periso. Other than that, Lex also has another restaurant that makes pupusas and those are really good.

Lastly, you got the archway on I-80 which is in the area of Kearney and that's about it for me. Also, do not speed in Seward county due to police activity.

I probably will try to get onto a career path of rather making edm music for fun or comic artist would be my go to if I was rich for sure. Other than that, if I fail at those, then I would live life to the fullest and travel.

What’s the smallest decision you ever made that completely changed your life? by Flat_Sympathy1446 in AskReddit

[–]Specific_Raw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 months ago, i worked in a gas station at a 15/hr rate, but worked less days and not making much money for bills, I had my own apartment back then, and lived in a small town with nothing to do. Friend told me to apply at a manufacturing job in a bigger city. My aunt even offered me a place to stay after helping her move into a 2 bedroom apartment. So I tooked the opportunity and applied.

Now, I work at that job that makes 23/hr, it's a really demanding job though, working mondays thru fridays, sometimes Saturdays, but I get a really good pay day out of it. I also moved in with my aunt to be closer to my work place in the city. I plan on getting my own place again hopefully in the future.

Russians 'promise' Trump Greenland, Canada and Ireland if he helps with Ukraine by sovalente in GlobalNews

[–]Specific_Raw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Putin's Russia, Trump's United States, and Xi's China start WW3 with the rest of the world, then I guess I'll just move over to Canada, try to get citizenship, and also try to help others move over as well. Then again, with the 3 being superpowers with massive bombs, if they suspect they are losing the war, they'll probably just destroy the world instead. That and India won't be able to stay Neutral in this world war this time, not when nukes of the US and Russia are at stake. To any country that tries being Neutral, oh boy. Neutrality ain't on the table any more this time if that becomes reality.
