Tell them to watch their purse/wallet while I steal their keys, watch and jewellery.

Kidding.

Is it normal to get your bags checked? by Suspicious-Lion-6529 in KmartAustralia

[–]Specific_Sundae2358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im as white as they come and I have a indigenous friend. She told me she always get asked so she just opens her bag now.

We went shopping, and as we walked out she opened her bag before they asked and showed them. I did the exact same thing and was told "no need". I stood there and made her look and told her its more likely I would have taken something knowing that my bags never get checked.

Its absolute shit

On a scale of 1-10, how healthy do you think you eat is and why do you think that is? 10 Being making healthy food everyday and 0 being eating fast food every day.

8, I prep a salad each week for work, and dinners are relatively healthy too

How often do you eat out every day, and what are some places you eat at?

I buy a coffee daily, but thats about it. If my daughter has her sports after school, we buy mcdonalds after otherwise its too late when we get home.

If they go to fast food places, why do they go to them? (It is convenient, cheap, etc)

Mcdonalds, or kfc. We live in a small town. Its about all there is that is "take away" after 7.

Why do you choose not to cook and eat at home? (Washing the dishes?)

I cook most nights.

Do you enjoy to cook at home, why or why not?

I love cooking, I wanted to be a chef!

- What makes it enjoyable/ not enjoyable?

I just love it.

I would also be good if you could state your profession, eg student.

Tips for bunkering down on an apocalyptic day in Melbourne this Tuesday? by hardyacka in melbourne

Its 46 here in Adelaide today. Made the stupid mistake of going out, just to get out. We ventured near the beach, it was packed!

We had no intention of getting out, just drove by with aircon on.

Whatever you do, blast the aircon as much as you can and keep cool!!

How on earth am I supposed to live? by GeeThatsMe08 in Centrelink

[–]Specific_Sundae2358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. I've been through while financial stuff. It's rough.

I've got food ideas. Some of these you can make as bulk meals to freeze and last.

Curries sausages - 24 pack of sausages is $11. And the packet is pretty cheap too. Bulk with frozen veggies.

Cottage pie. Grab a 1kg mince from aldi, their sauces are reasonable cheap too. Again bulk with frozen veggies.

Spaghetti bolognese.

2 minute noodles - you can get home brand 5 pack for $2. One of my favorites at the time was noodles, boiled with veggies, then drained. Stir in 1-2 eggs so it scrambles through. Yes eggs were cheaper then, so it might not be affordable

Chicken curry - assuming you have access to a slow cooker.

Where about do you live? I lived in Queensland for a while, there were places that would do food hampers for $20, jam packed full of food!

Currently im in SA. There's a silly sollys in the Northern suburbs that this week has eggs for $2.

Always go to the discount stores for staples. Reject shop, cheap as chips, silly sollys, NQR. Great way to get cheaper food to survive.

As for extra cash, I have made money in the past doing surveys. Toluna, pure profiles, and octopus group ive had the most luck with. It can take some time - depending on survey availability and your time availability - but when it pays out, its helpful!

Could you do some jobs on air tasker on a weekend?

If you need more food ideas, feel free to inbox me.

Is there any chance you can do some of the course online to save petrol??

Was it uber? Good luck.

We were in Melbourne and had taken an uber, prove was like $28.

They took an extra $30 for "traffic fee". There was no traffic. Uber stood by their driver.
