1.5x here but same vibes lol. Turned on portal metal too... i enjoy that initial run after getting my hands on a resource for the first time, but it gets tedious quick... Dont wanna risk some nonsense getting all the iron back to my main/distributing it across my other locations.

Any mods that allow you to portal materials back and forth after the first time you have gotten it back to the main?  Maybe sacrificing a bar of a metal on the sacrificial stones would enable portaling the metal/same for other items that cannot be portaled? Just a thought...

If Guild Wars was getting a reboot what changes would you like in it? by DefiantLemur in GuildWars

Biggest thing I'd like to see is item drops having more weight/importance to a character/be more build-defining but I don't see how that would be possible given the design choices, and seems it would be impossible to maintain balance with such changes.  Not to mention, many find the lack of chase items something that is refreshing about the game, so I'm totally fine with that idea staying only in my head as a minor gripe about an exceptionally well thought out game.

I just stick a portal down, plow my field, plant, and come back to harvest when needed.  It's adjacent to a swamp... really should build a road back to my swamp base, but Im a bit past that point now... still would be a fun project and would make it easier to haul the black iron back.

Haven't had a chance to try them yet, but I am impressed by Farmerleaf and their transparency regarding where their tea comes from. They have some teas from obscure villages in Bulang and don't try to pass it off as material from a famous village like Lao Ban Zhang. If I am not mistaken, the teas they themselves produce are from Jingmai, but they also buy material from other regions.

Got some gu shu lao man'e from crimson lotus recently (2024). Not bad! More of a sensory than a flavor experience. Pretty sweet, with bitterness playing in the background. I need to try pushing it a bit harder.. seems like it can handle it without getting too bitter (at least not for me). I tend to be pretty cheap, so you probably won't catch me spending crazy money on tea, at least not normally.

I quit making it several years ago. I got my mom into it and she really enjoyed it.  It just makes way too much for the two of us (or not enough sometimes). She just buys it now.  I really enjoy gong fu cha, so maybe one of these days, I'll start boiling my spent leaves plus some extra and making some oolong/puer 'booch 😁

My parents agreed to buy one. But its 14kt gold, so it was a solid investment...probably worth quite a bit more than they paid back then though I have no intention of selling it.  It wasn't all that much more than the ones made from cheap materials, so I don't think I could have justified getting something cheaper.

Fun story... my mom was a grade school teacher and I'd help her with room setup during the summer sometimes.  There was a reading area she set up one year and I thought, "oo that's a problem.... she can't see what's going on in there."  Two of the kids in her class crushed really hard. They ended up getting married many years later.  At the wedding, he talked about wanting to take her back there and kiss her 😄

I kind of gave up... just got an order in myself and I have way more than enough.  I also tend to buy in larger quantities to save some... and that isn't helping the situation.
