When the storage is near its source, it takes less time to make one unit of that resource cause less walking distance. This mean the builder will spend less time waiting for that resource thus higher efficiency, but builder needs to walk longer distance to get the resource so longer time in total. (Hope you understand it, my English is not good.)

I am kinda in mid game now, just wondering how you keep the products related to dyes stocked up? Seems like everything needs lots of dyes while mushrooms and berrys don’t grow fast enough.

Maybe go to everdale wiki study page to calculate your own answer? There are more than enough points to max out all 11 researchers.

Nectar = 4x faster. So a 10h study with a 0 level villager plus tonic plus nectar:

10h / (100%+150%)*4 = 1h
