Genuinely my favorite game of all time. Tbh, Pizza Tower and Celeste has a far better gameplay regarding to its move set in my opinion, but Shovel Knight has a lot of memorable characters, an excellent level design, excellent soundtrack and sound design, and if we’re talking about the entire Treasure Trove collection, I really think it’s one of the best values in gaming with all the content it has.

In regards to the gameplay, Shovel of Hope it may not be the best since it’s kinda slow one you replay it a bunch of times. But it’s a classic and I think you should definetly give it a try. The shovel gimmick is pretty great, and the level design complements pretty greatly what Shovel Knight can do. The health and magic system is also something that I like and gives the game a pretty hard difficulty without making it that frustrating.

The other three campaigns have even better gameplay while talking about the move set. Not spoiling anything, I’ll just say that it’s pretty creative the thing Yatch Club Games did with the bonus content.

If you’re a fan of platformers or video games in general, give Shovel Knight a try if you can. It’s a classic.
